Everyone present, including my father and me, was on edge.
But Ashley and William themselves seemed the most excited of all.
Suddenly, all of William’s grand ambitions seemed within reach.
He couldn’t keep the smirk off his face.
Under the bright lights of the big screen, Ava’s trembling hands were clearly visible.
She was more eager about this gift than anyone else present.
But when the camera zoomed in on what she’d opened, the entire room froze.
A pair of worn–out shoes…
And a medical report.
The camera helpfully focused on the report, where the words. “uterine malformation” stood out clear as day.
At that moment, William’s mother rushed forward, shoving aside Ava, who was trying to hide the report.
“Uterine malformation? Congenital infertility?”
She stared at the words on the diagnosis, then at the name of the hospital, finding no trace of falsehood.
Especially telling was Ava’s demeanor, her silence confirmed. everything written there.
She kept her head down, not daring to look at either William or Ashley.
This “gift” had undoubtedly hit its mark.
I couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
At that moment, Ava rushed downstairs and grabbed my throat.
“It was you! You must have forged the medical report and sent me that trashy gift. Scarlett Haven, you’re so devious!
“You switched out the gift that Kennedy gave me. Give it back right
now!”
William seemed to find logic in her words and came over.
“Scarlett, I can’t believe how disgusting you are. Are you jealous that Ava has a brother from Heaven Group? Is that why you did this? Hand over the items now!”
I laughed loudly.
“Why don’t you think about something? What’s the surname of Heaven Group’s owner? And what’s my surname?”

Ava immediately sneered.

“Don’t tell me you’re trying to say that because you both have the surname Haven mean you’re the princess of Heaven Group?
“That’s absolutely hilarious!”
Just then, her phone rang.
Seeing the contact name, she excitedly shouted to everyone, “Quiet! Everyone be quiet! My brother is calling me! He must be calling to explain everything!”
She quickly touched up her makeup before answering the call.
The moment the video connected, she broke down.
Because the face that appeared was mine.
“I told you to think it through, but you wouldn’t listen!”
After I spoke, William was the first to break down.
He shouted at the top of his lungs, claiming I was a fraud,
desperately trying to get the Heaven Group executives to expose
- me.
Just then, Kennedy walked in with Tiana on his arm, fashionably late..
Tiana smiled and said, “I’m so sorry, I accidentally mixed up the

When Ava saw Tiana and noticed all the Heaven Group people standing up, she rushed over.
“Tiana! I knew there must have been a mix–up with the gifts… So where’s my wedding present?”
As she held out her hand, Tiana handed her another medical report.
This time, William’s name was written on it.
