Chapter 7
In the end, Alpha Jasper stepped in, his face pale as he restrained his furious mother.
“Enough, Mother!” he said, pulling her back.
Omega Bianca lay crumpled on the floor, her once–pristine gown now a mess of tears and
dirt.
She sobbed uncontrollably, her hands clutching at Alpha Jasper’s sleeve like a lifeline.
“Alpha Jasper, please, let me explain. It’s not
what it looks like!”
Disgust flared in his eyes as he slapped her hand
away.

“Get away from me!” he snarled.
“I said everything loud and clear. What’s left
to say? I’ve been looking after you to fulfill my brother’s dying wish. The only person I love is Luna Audrey!“.
Omega Bianca’s tears mixed with streaks of smeared makeup as she shook her head wildly.
“No, you don’t mean that! If you didn’t care about me, why would you come to my house at night? Why would you hold me in your arms and look at me the way you do? Alpha Jasper, I know you love me!”
“Alpha Jasper, I love you! But why can’t you just admit that you love me too?!”

The guests whispered among themselves, their expressions growing increasingly contemptuous.
At this point, Alpha Jasper had no way to explain himself anymore.
People’s gazes were like sharp swords, making him feel extremely embarrassed. In a fit of rage, he shouted, “Shut up!”
The scene was almost uncontrollable. The
once elegant banquet was now completely
destroyed.
The atmosphere was thick with embarrassment. Some people took photos, while others
recorded videos. After enjoying the gossip, the

guests began to rise and take their leave one after another.
I descended from the stage, looking down at Omega Bianca with an icy gaze.
“Omega Bianca, did you ever think about this day when you mocked and belittled me?”
Her bloodshot eyes narrowed as venomous hatred replaced her tears.
“It’s all your fault!” she spat, her voice trembling with rage. “If it weren’t for you, Alpha Jasper would have loved me. You’ve taken everything from me!”
Her voice rose to a shrill scream. “Why couldn’t you have died in that rogues‘ attack?”

Before anyone could react, she lunged at me, her hands clawing for my throat.
Alpha Jasper moved instantly, grabbing her midair and shoving her away with a force that sent her sprawling. His voice was ice–cold as he stood between us.
“Try to hurt Luna Audrey again, and you’ll regret it for the rest of your miserable life.”
Omega Bianca’s face twisted into a mask of fury and jealousy as she scrambled to her feet, only
to meet my gaze.
“You’ve lost your mind, Omega Bianca,” I said, my voice steady.

I grabbed a glass of red wine from the table and poured it over her head, the liquid staining her dress like a scarlet brand.
She shrieked, thrashing as the security guards moved in to drag her out.
The hall fell into silence. The guests had left, leaving only Alpha Jasper, his mother, and a few close family members standing in the aftermath
of the chaos.
Alpha Jasper turned to me, his expression riddled with guilt.
“Audrey,” he began, his voice low, “I’m sorry. I didn’t see her for who she truly was. I was
deceived. I’ve made mistakes, but my feelings for you have never changed.”

He took a step closer, desperation creeping into his tone. “Let’s forget all this. We can still move forward. Let’s set a date for the wedding -this week, even. I’ll make everything right, I promise.”
But my heart remained unmoved. “I’ve told you before, I’m calling off the engagement.”
Alpha Jasper suddenly lifted his head, disbelief written all over his face. “Are you serious? Audrey, I know I’ve made mistakes, but we’ve been together for seven years. How could you let go of that?”
Tears streaming down her face, Alpha Jasper’s mother came over to plead with me. “Audrey, Jasper truly loves only you. Every time he

comes home, he talks about you. Please, I hope you two can work this out.”
I stared at Alpha Jasper calmly for a moment.
“I won’t marry a murderer.”
He was stunned. “What murderer? I don’t understand what you’re saying.”
