After only two questions. Alison couldnt resin glancing at Auror who was seated diagonally in front of her she saw Aurora hold a pen and answer the questions effortlessly
Alison sneered, thinking. She’s just pretending. It’s only a language test, after all. Even if she doesn’t understand the questions, they’re still written in Valyricon he could just copy diem word for word and fill up the page But she won’t be able to fake it in the math test this afternoon
But when the math exam came, the one Alison had been counting on, she was shocked to see Aurora finish within an hour, even turning in her paper earlier than for the language exam
Alison thought, “She must’ve scribbled random answers: She clenched her fists, forcing herself to focus on her p
As the college admission exam was approaching, this particular math test had been designed to push the students limits, testing their resilience under pressure.
When it was time to submit the paper, Alison had left the last question blank
Aurora had already handed in her paper and returned to Crawford Manor by then
Aurora’s room was at the far end of the second floor. As Aurora passed by Maura’s room, she heard a thud from within, as if something had fallen to the ground. What followed made her pause in her tracks.
A groan came from behind the door, followed by bangs that sounded like someone was banging their head against the Boor,
Aurora’s steps faltered briefly, her eyes flickering with indecision. But in the end, she calmed down and quietly slipped away She thought, ‘Maura had always been vain. She wouldn’t want anyone to see her like this. I really am such a considerate
Mister.
When Aurora returned to her room, the sun hadn’t yet set. The orange glow of the setting sun streamed through the floor- to–ceiling windows, casting a warm light over the entire room. She finished the exam early, giving her two extra hours, enough to prepare her medicine.
The next morning, as Aurora descended the stairs, she was surprised to see Maura sitting at the dining table, chatting with Jaxon and Stacy. “Maura, you’re up early today.”
Maura saw Aurora standing on the staircase. Her first instinct was to lower her head, but then she remembered what her mother had told her–she must never appear weak in front of Aurora
After everything Aurora had put her through, Maura knew she needed to bury her hatred deep inside and wait for the right moment to strike back. Fear was useless. It would only bring Aurora satisfaction.
With that thought, Maura forced a strained smile. Her expression had improved considerably since the previous night,
nough that she could even exchange a few pleasantries. “Aurora, you had exams yesterday, right? How do you feel about them?”
“Pretty good,” Aurora replied casually.
This time, Stacy had learned her lesson. She didn’t throw in any sarcastic comments but rolled her eyes instead. She thought, “Seriously? That bumpkin Aurora has only been at Mereda for a few months, and she thinks she can keep up with

the school’s standards? Who does she think she is, a genius or something?
After a quick breakfast, Aurora got into the car and headed off to Mereida High School. As the scenery whizzed by, she couldn’t help but inwardly sigh with satisfaction, “This new drive really knows his stuff. The ride is fast and smooth, and he picks me up whenever I ask. Finally, I get the same treatment Mira used to
Back at Mereida High School, the exams continued.
“You’re only allowed to leave in the last half hour of the test,” the invigilator said icily when a girl tried to hand in her paper just an hour into the exam.
The comprehensive science exam was a mix of three subjects with a total duration of three hours. Anyone handing in their paper two hours early was clearly just a lazy student eager to rush out and play.
The invigilator leaned against the door with his arms crossed, looking at Aurora, who was asleep on the desk, disapprovingly. He thought, ‘She looks pretty, but instead of focusing on her studies, she just wants to waste time. What a shame. What kind of upbringing did her parents give her!
Well, it doesn’t matter who she is. As long as I’m watching, she won’t be leaving early. She’s staying until the time is up.
Alison put down her pen and glanced at Aurora, who was slumped over her desk, sleeping.
She thought, “What’s she playing at now? Putting on a show for whom? Her test paper must be a mess of random scribbles. With only a few days left at this school, she probably has to make the most of her time here. It’s not like she’ll get another chance to make an impression.
Soon, the invigilator was bored of leaning against the door. He started to walk around the classroom. As he wandered, he was drawn to the exam paper on the podium. He thought, ‘Invigilating is so dull. Maybe I can find some entertainment‘
With that thought, the invigilator picked up the answer sheet and compared it to the remaining test papers. But to his increasing astonishment, every answer was correct. ‘How is this possible?‘ he thought.
The solutions to the physics problems were neatly drawn and perfectly explained, even including methods he hadn’t thought of. He glanced again at the name. It was Aurora from Class F. He wondered, ‘Class E could produce a student like this?
This reminded him of Frank’s sigh at the beginning of the school year, lamenting that a top student had ended up in Class E and might face a bleak future. ‘Could this Aurora be the very student Mr. Gill had mentioned? Ruby has missed the mark this time, he thought.
Watching the invigilator’s grim expression, Alison couldn’t help but feel a surge of satisfaction. She thought, ‘Aurora must have been caught writing random answers. Serves her right for showing off. She deserved it
As the exams on Tuesday and Wednesday wrapped up, the results of the bet between Class A and Class F drew everyone’s
attention.
Someone started a poll in the school group chat to see who supported each class. Class A’s supporters quickly amassed over a thousand votes, while Class F barely scraped together thirty–one votes. It was paltry in comparison.
“Thirty–something votes is actually quite a lot. I didn’t expect so many people to back Class F‘ someone remarked.
A companion rolled his eyes. “Quite a lot? Are you new here? Clas Fonly has thirty–two students, and with Jack, who’s always absent, gone, those thirty–one votes are obviously just Class F voting for themselves.”
Someone laughed, “Voting for themselves, how pathetic. They really have no support, do they?”
Another said, “It’s pitiful. Voting for themselves. Isn’t Margaret the only daughter of Mr. McLean? Why didn’t she get her dad

to buy some votes?”
Someone replied, “Maybe he ran out of inoney after donating a building to the school.”
Another asked, “Do you think they’ll come crawling back if they et kicked out this time?”
One said, “Let’s not jinx it on such a happy day

The group chat was abuzz with mockery. Members of Class Focasionally tried to chime in, but their messages was soon flooded.
