Chapter 30 You Should Ask Sofia
Sofia was genuinely sad.
She knew Nathaniel didn’t like her, and she didn’t like him either.
They weren’t together out of love, and Sofia hadn’t even thought about how long they could last.
She was just disappointed that Nathaniel wasn’t even willing to honor their agreement.
They had just gotten together, and he was already planning for a divorce.
This made Sofia feel that accepting her family’s arrangement to become Nathaniel’s wife was utterly ridiculous.
It also made her feel deflated, not wanting to do anything else, just waiting for the time to pass so she could divorce Nathaniel and never see him again.
Sofia sat on the couch, lost in thought for a long time until the timer brought her back to reality.
She frowned and looked at the small fridge,
A voice in her head told her to forget about it, to stop treating him, just let him lie there for the rest of his life.
But another voice told her she had to help him, to cure him.
After all, the medicine she worked so hard to prepare was quite expensive.
Sofia wasn’t a money–driven person.
In fact, she and Sylvia were complete opposites when it came to money.
Sofia could throw away anything she didn’t need without a second thought, no matter how expensive it was.
For a moment, she felt an impulse to just throw the medicine away. But as her hand

When she returned to Nathaniel’s room, he was already asleep.
This time, Sofia was sure Nathaniel was in a deep sleep.
She sighed in relief, realizing her soup had worked.
She had worried that Nathaniel had some special resistance to her concoctions.
Fortunately, everything was going according to her plan.
Repeating her previous actions, Sofia finished her task and sat by his side.
Today, Nathaniel felt pain again.
But this time, he slept so deeply that he didn’t even make a sound.

The only indication of his pain was the sweat covering his body, showing that today’s pain was even more intense than before.
This reassured Sofia.
Feeling such pain at the beginning of treatment was very normal and necessary.
The more pain Nathaniel felt at this stage, the higher the chance of his recovery.
Today, Sofia washed a towel and wiped Nathaniel’s body.

She stayed with him until dawn, then put everything back in order and left his room.
She had a major surgery in the morning, one that couldn’t afford any mistakes.
Sofia returned to her room, changed clothes, and left the Hart family.
Kyler arrived at Nathaniel’s room, puzzled to see Mr. Hart still sleeping.
He mumbled, “Weird, why isn’t he up yet?”
It wasn’t unusual for Nathaniel to sleep in due to his condition.
But it was strange that neither Older Mr. Hart nor Gregory were up, and even the kitchen
staff hadn’t stirred

kyler guessed Sofia nad done something to make the Hart family behave so unusually.
It was almost 10 AM when Older Mr. Hart, looking refreshed, finally came out of his room.
Seeing Gregory, he exclaimed, “I haven’t slept this well in decades.”
Gregory nodded in agreement.
He was shocked to see how late it was when he woke up.
This had never happened before, but he felt great, like everything was in perfect working order.
Looking at Older Mr. Hart, who seemed years younger, Gregory can’t agree more.
Older Mr. Hart said, “I’m going to check on Nathaniel. Get me something good to eat. I’m quite hungry.”
“Sure thing, sir. I’ll get right on it,” Gregory replied, realizing he was hungry too.
Older Mr. Hart entered Nathaniel’s room to find him just waking up, looking even paler than before.
This worried him.
“Nathaniel, what’s wrong with your face? Why are you looking worse every day?” Older Mr. Hart asked, concerned.
He feared Nathaniel was hiding a serious condition from him, intending to end his life quietly.
Nathaniel glanced at Older Mr. Hart and almost blurted out, “You should ask the woman you brought here.”
But instead, he said, “Maybe I didn’t sleep well
“Then you should rest properly. Remember, the most important thing for you is to get better,” Older Mr. Hart said.
Nathaniel snorted lightly.

He hadn’t noticed ner last night, but hearing Older Mr. Hart mention his pale face, ne figured Sofia had done something again.
Thinking about how he could now feel pain from his neck down to his shoulders, Nathaniel couldn’t help but feel a glimmer of hope.
Maybe Sofia could really cure him.
“Nathaniel, what do you want to eat? I’ll have Gregory prepare it for
rest some more,” Older Mr. Hart said.
Nathaniel thought for a moment and said, “Shrimp.”
you. After you eat,
“Alright, I’ll have Gregory make it for you,” Older Mr. Hart said, heading off to find Gregory.
This was the first time since Nathaniel’s accident that he had expressed a desire for food.
This relieved Older Mr. Hart a bit.
As long as Nathaniel wanted to eat, there is nothing better than that!
Watching Nathaniel eat all the shrimp, Older Mr. Hart felt encouraged and said, “Sofia really has a way with you. Look at you, eating on your own.”
Nathaniel didn’t respond, but thinking about what Sofia had said, his expression softened,
He said to Older Mr. Hart, “Grandpa, I’m sorry for worrying you so much lately.”
