Suddenly she spotted someone behind Caleb. As a servant who had worked in his house for many years, she knew she shouldn’t have spoken out.

Caleb immediately understood and told the servant to arrange room for Ava. Then he went upstairs.

Jasmine spoke up, “Only three bedrooms here. I’m staying here tonight and Ava takes another. Guess Caleb’s resorting to the couch, right?
Caleb gazed at Evelyn, lying on the bed, and then at the empty space beside her where two more people could sleep.
Silence.
Evelyn also understood the current situation in an instant. Despite having Evelynn married and shared a bed before, the idea of spending another night in the same room with him, given his past, made her hesitate.
There was a moment of silence in the room, and only Jasmine looked at them leisurely.
“Evelyn?”
A dramatically exaggerated cry came from the door. Evelyn raised her eyebrows and saw the person acting all surprised.
“You aren’t in the hospital. No wonder I don’t know where to see you.”
Ava cozied up to Caleb, nearly hanging onto him. The three spectators all frowned hard at the sight.
It was hard to imagine that this disgusting woman was an international superstar.
Evelyn could only feel irony.

She turned her head rudely and even felt her eyes dirty at a glance.

Caleb frowned, clearly annoyed. While Avy popping up in the bedroom was off–putting, Evelyn’s stuck–up act seemed like a challenge to him. Plus, how could she be so icy when Avy came to visit?
Evelyn barely spared them a look. She figured Caleb had to be insane; why else did he become a total fool every time Ava showed up?
