Zoey witnessed everything from the side and she opened her mouth in shock. 

Admittedly, Ava’s acting skills were perfect. Caleb reached out to wipe her tears. It was evident that Ava knew Caleb’s weakness very well. 

Zoey then turned her head again to look at Evelyn, who had a beautiful face but a cold expression. She could not help but sigh that Ava was such a scheming bitch. 

Evelyn scolded Ava without mercy, but she didn’t know how to capitalize on a man’s sympathy for a

woman. 

“Humph. What a pretentious woman!” 

Zoey looked at Ava with disdain. 

“Mr. Mercer, are you interested in this туре of woman?” 

Upon hearing this, Ava froze, and even her tears stopped flowing Angrily, she glared at Zoey. 

Ava thought. What’s wrong with this young lady? How dare she mock me? What gives her the right? In showbiz, I can be considered a senior to her. Even though she is from a rich family, so what? I remember that the Harper family does not meddle in her affairs in showbiz. Since that is the case, how dare Zoey offend me? 

“What are you looking at me for?” 

Zoey glared back at Ava directly. She rolled her eyes, hugged Evelyn immediately, and made a face at Ava.

Caleb’s heart twisted in agony, and he immediately shook off Ava’s hand and strode toward Evelyn. He stared intently at Evelyn’s shoulder, as if the scene where he, like a madman, viciously crushed Evelyn’s shoulder, reappeared before his eyes. Caleb’s eyes gradually turned red. 

Upon seeing this, Evelyn was so scared that she stepped back and blurted out, ‘Caleb? What are you trying to do again!” What is she doing? Can’t she feel pain?‘ wondered Caleb. 

Caleb trembled as he tried to touch Evelyn’s shoulder, then immediately withdrew his hand, his gaze shifting upwards to meet Evelyn’s somewhat frightened eyes. 

He suddenly scooped up to carry Evelyn in his arms, carefully avoiding the wound on her right shoulder. 

“Caleb, let me down! What are you doing? Evelyn immediately struggled, her legs flapping non–stop and her body twisting back and forth. She felt surrounded by embarrassinent and anger 

“Don’t move, Evelyn! Don’t you know your shoulder is injured? Caleb tightened his arms, his eyes reddened as he yelled at
