She looked at me interested in my rants,
“What would you like to order Mr. Quinn, I don’t think you know but we have a policy that prevents our workers from talking about personal business in the restaurant” She spoke politely but without interest in having any discussion with me.
I had an idea of what she talked about, some workers in some restaurants have gotten used to the habit of discussing their personal lives and issues with customers who come to patronize and some even go as far as asking customers for money so most restaurants started this no–talk policy that keeps their staff under control of what they spew about themselves.
“Wow, what a way to talk to someone who risked his life to save you. I told you not to do it from the start but you’ve made it a habit not to listen to me Fleur voiced, angered by the way Ana treated me.
“What are you talking about?” Ana asked confused.
“Tell her man, tell her how you went around playing CIA to get info on the criminal. Fleur nudged at me and Ana’s haze shifted from him to me.

the car.
Fleur was surprised when I threw the pictures on the table. He was surprised that I brought them with me. We left the house together and he didn’t see me with any of these pictures.
While Ana stared at the pictures confused, 1 brought out my phone and replayed the CCTV footage of the day he hit Grandma Mira, where he ran to the seaport and when he returned.
They were short clips so it didn’t take much time for her to finish seeing all of them.
“I managed to trace him to a slum area and I was trying to catch him before he was shot on sight by the police, I couldn’t get the details of who sent him before he was killed.” I explained looking intently at her as she stared in disbelief at the pictures,
She staggered backward a bit but held herself together when I was about to hold her.
I could only imagine what went through her mind seeing someone coming for her family.
“You, you did this for Grandma Mira?” She muttered finally, her gaze still fixed on the pictures now in her hands.
I let out a sigh and a smile followed, if only she knew that what I did was for her sake, because of the way I felt about her.
