hapter 65: The World Has Gone Mad
en though Daniel knew that his actions might seem immoral, what did it matter? He deserved to pursue s own happiness, even if Julian was his best friend.
ven if it’s not me now, someone else will eventually confess their feelings to Chloe. There will always
someone who likes her. You might be able to stop it once, but can you stop it forever?” Daniel said Imly.
ou need to understand something. You and Chloe have no relationship anymore. One day, she will arry someone else and stand beside another man. What are you going to do then? Nothing you say will ange that,” Daniel continued.
lian froze at Daniel’s words, the realization sinking in. The thought of another man standing by Chloe’s de, of her living happily with someone else, having children–it filled him with uncontrollable rage.
s body trembled with fury, and his mind went blank. He lashed out at Daniel with raw violence.
inch after punch landed on Daniel, who could have fought back. But instead, he focused on protecting
loe, shielding her from harm while trying to hold Julian at bay. Both men knew each other’s weak ints, having grown up together, and each strike was aimed where it would hurt the most.
; a result, they both ended up bruised and bloodied, but Daniel bore the brunt of the beating.
eanwhile, Layla, who had been resting in a nearby room, started feeling uneasy. Julian had left a while o, saying he had something to deal with, but he hadn’t returned yet. Her worry grew–what was taking n so long?
flecting on her earlier reaction, she realized she had been too emotional. Chloe no longer had any pact on her relationship with Julian, and Layla needed to remain confident. The less she showed ncern, the more control she would have over Julian. Her earlier behavior had been a mistake.
termined to talk things out with Julian, Layla decided to go find him. But when she arrived at the rden, she was horrified to see Julian and Daniel in a full–blown fistfight, with Daniel protectively ielding Chloe.
e screamed and rushed toward them, unable to believe what was happening. How had things calated so quickly? This had to be about Chloe–whenever Chloe was involved, people around her lost eir minds, especially Julian.
op it! Both of you, stop! What if someone gets seriously hurt?” Layla cried, running toward them to eak up the fight. But as a single woman, she was no match for the two men locked in combat.
the chaos, she was accidentally struck and fell to the ground, shocked by how serious the fight had come. These two were genuinely trying to hurt each other.
e commotion soon caught the attention of people inside. Adam and William, hearing the noise, rushed t to find Julian and Daniel fighting.
ave they lost their minds?” Adam exclaimed in disbelief.
on’t just stand there! We need to separate them before things get worse. If others find out about this, I be impossible to control,” William warned.
apping back to reality, Adam jumped in to help. It took considerable effort, but they finally managed to II Julian and Daniel apart, though Julian was still seeing red and nearly broke free again.
Iliam grabbed Daniel, while Adam held Julian back, trying to assess the situation. He glanced at Daniel, en at Chloe, starting to piece things together. Adam, on the other hand, looked from Wyatt to Daniel,

utterly confused about what had transpired.
“Can’t you two just talk it out?” William asked in frustration.

“Let me go! We can’t ‘talk it out,” Julian snarled, his fury unrelenting. He and Daniel both made it clear- there was no talking this through. If anything, their fight was the only way they could settle things. Whoever won would be the one in charge.
William and Adam were at their wits‘ end, barely able to keep them apart. The situation was spiraling out of control, especially with Julian’s birthday party still ongoing.
“Calm down! It’s your birthday, Julian. Do you really want to ruin it by making a scene? You two have known each other for years. Can’t this wait until tomorrow?” William reasoned.
Daniel wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. “I’d love to talk it out, but look at him. He started the fight, not me. If this gets out of hand, it won’t just be my reputation on the line. I stand by what I said. I haven’t said anything wrong.”
Julian’s anger flared again, but this time, he fought to control it. He still wanted to punch Daniel, but he
forced himself to calm down.
“You think I won’t get angry when you try to pursue *my* woman? What gives you the right? If they hadn’t held me back, I’d have beaten you to a pulp by now, reputation be damned,” Julian spat.
Everyone was stunned. Daniel wanted to pursue Chloe?
All eyes turned to Chloe, who was at the center of this mess. It didn’t make sense–Daniel and Chloe together? But the situation had clearly escalated because of them.
William and Adam were baffled. The world had gone mad. How had things ended up like this? Nothing
made sense.
“Are you okay? Did this scare you? Let me take you home,” Daniel said softly to Chloe, completely ignoring Julian’s words. His gentle demeanor only made the situation seem more surreal to the others.
This world had truly gone insane, they thought, unable to process what was happening.
Chloe instinctively took a step back, wanting nothing to do with Daniel. She had seen enough.
Now she understood clearly. Both Julian and Daniel were, in their own ways, completely mad. They were obsessed and irrational, and for her own safety, she realized she needed to stay as far away from both of them as possible.
