Hannia pressed her lips together. “Is that so?”
Seeing Hannia lost in thought, Yulia took her hand. “Come back with me. Let’s check on your grandpa. The Hawkins family is in a tough spot. Your sister isn’t around and your mom’s at a loss. With your grandpa like this, things don’t look good.”
“But even if I go back, there’s nothing I can do,” Hannia sighed, pulling her hand away from Yulia’s tight grip.
Yulia looked at her and pleaded, “I know you don’t want to go back, but they’re your family. You can’t forget where you came from. Consider it a favor to me. Go back and take a look. I promise to bring you back, okay?”
Hannia hesitated, lowering her head as conflicting emotions battled within her. After all, it was the place that nurtured her, her foundation and home.
A few minutes later, she lifted her head and nodded at Yulia. “Alright, I’ll go back with you to have a look, but then I’m coming right back.”
Yulia let out a breath as if a weight had been lifted, her mood brightening instantly. “Okay”
On Carson’s private island, Cherise was diligently helping Kitten with its fleas when her phone rang.

“Got it! Prepare the lab equipment. We’ll head to GlobalVision Croup tomorrow. The holidays are over. It’s time to start tackling things one by one,” Cherise said, hanging up and giving a slight smile.
She gently petted Kitten’s big head. “He has done so many terrible things. Just losing one foot isn’t enough, right? My mentor lost both of his legs for no reason. Kitten, do you agree? Come on Let’s go get you some tasty snacks.”
Inside the room. Carson sat at the desk, writing. Cherise walked over and sat across from Carson.
Carson looked up at her, put down his pen, and smiled kindly, “Cherise, have you finally decided to face reality?”
Cherise nodded as she looked at him. “Yes, I’m ready and I’m planning to start taking action tomorrow. I’m not sure if I will make it, but I’m confident”
“Alright. If you want to do it, then go ahead. Just let me know if can help, but I doubt you’ll need me. You and your husband are pretty capable,” Carson chuckled.
Cherise smiled softly, glancing at the fresh buds on the branches outside the window. She walked over to the window and made a phone call.
“Hello, Cherise!” Jason greeted her on the phone.
“Hey, Jason, have you got everything ready?” asked Cherise.
Jason said confidently, “Yeah, it’s all set. See you at GlobalVision Group tomorrow.”
“Okay.” With that, Cherise hung up the phone.
Cherise gazed into the distance, took a deep breath, and pressed her lips together. Her expression was both calm and complex.
