Chapter 5
Jasmine’s POV
Mira stepped forward. “Luna Jasmine, please reduce your voice. You’re dragging attention to yourself. I know this is an emotional time for you, but we’re all here for you.” Her voice dripped with mock sincerity, but her eyes shone with glee.
I turned to Liam. “You really have no shame, do you?”
He looked confused, like he didn’t understand what I was saying. He glanced around, and noticed that some of the pack members in the pack clinic were staring at us curiously, trying to pay attention to what
we were saying.
“Jas, you know our position in this pack is quite delicate. Let’s take this elsewhere, to a more private-” He muttered softly, reaching for my hand.

snapped, yanking my hand away. “Stop pretending like you don’t know what happened. You even brought your lover here, after betraying me with her!”
The pack members were now watching us, murmuring among themselves.
Mira shook her head in fake sympathy.
“Luna Jasmine, please. Alpha Liam has not betrayed you in any way. He told me what happened, and I volunteered to come. I know you‘ re hurting, but this isn’t the time for accusations.” She said with a patronizing tone.
Liam nodded in agreement. “She’s right, Jas. You need to rest, let me take you home.”
“Rest?” I repeated, my voice rose in disbelief. “After you cheated on me, causing me to lose my baby? You want me to rest?”
The room went silent at my words.
Liam noticed it and scowled in annoyance.

“Why are you trying to tarnish my name as the alpha of this pack?!” He growled loudly, “You‘ re letting the miscarriage get to your head. It is making you lose control. You‘ re not thinking clearly because the grief is messing with you.”
Liam was trying to make me look crazy, and I could see that it was working. I could see the onlookers shaking their heads in pity for me, thinking that the pain of losing my baby was making me lose my mind.
I scoffed, and without saying another word, I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone. I unlocked it and opened the message from Mira. I clicked on the picture, zoomed in, and I held up the phone.
My hand shook slightly, as I turned the screen to face the room. “Here‘ s the truth, everyone. This is why my baby is gone. Your alpha, my mate, was cheating on me last night with this woman.”
Liam’s face paled instantly.
