Morris nodded in satisfaction. “Good. Now, what’s the matter?”

A few faded noble families lived in Agrieviel. It was likely that Harold might try to collaborate with the remaining aristocratic ones.
After all, these so–called nobles, despite their changed social status, still held impressive wealth. And some of them had dark methods that could pose a threat–methods that couldn’t be ignored. The Wilson family, the Quinton family, and the Hawkins family were all living there.
Morris stood up and moved toward the floor–to–ceiling windows, staring out at Agrieviel in the distance. “Check on the three families left in Agrieviel. See if anything suspicious has happened in recent times.”
Leo nodded firmly, “Understood. He then quickly exited the office.
In Saphira, Cherise was dressed in a casual outfit, her high ponytail bouncing with each step. She looked like an energetic high school student.
Inside the black business car, she sat in the second row, while Hugh drove, with Crow in the passenger seat. At the back, Zander was seated by himself.
Cherise had planned to go alone, but these three insisted on following, saying they were following orders from Morris.
“I didn’t expect you would bring us along. Boss!” Crow was chattering non–stop as the car pulled out. “Finally, we get to visit Larksion. I heard the food there is amazing!”
The driver, Hugh, was also in the mood for chatting. “I heard from Leo that the girls in Larkston are extremely pretty”
“Really?” Cherise replied, intrigued.

didn’t really know why Cherise was heading to Larkston, but he was content to quietly follow along, even if she was someone else’s wife.
Cherise took out her phone, snapped a quick selfie, and sent it to Morris.

He was aware of the reason for Cherise’s trip to Larkston. After all, it had to do with her grandmother’s past, and he supported her and trusted in her abilities.
More than an hour later, they smoothly entered Larkston.
Cherise rolled down the window, letting the cold air rush into the car. It sent a chill down her spine,
Larkston was nothing like the bustling cities or tourist spots, with crowds of people coming and going. Instead, it was a quiet, peaceful little town. There were no towering skyscrapers or endless streams of cars.
There were just small bridges, flowing streams, the sweet song of birds, and orderly rows of low–rise houses. Everything was simple but perfectly organized. They quickly arrived at the address they had found for the person named Ms. Garcia.
Cherise stepped out of the car and looked around. She spotted a somewhat old–fashioned clinic. Above the door, the sign read “TenderHeart Clinic. She froze for a moinent, staring at the clinic’s name.
The three who had come along with her also got out of the car. Cherise turned to look at them. “You all stay here and wait for me. I’ll go in and take a look”
They nodded and stood by the car, waiting patiently.
Cherise turned her attention back to the clinic and stepped inside. The moment she entered, the strong scent of medicine hit her. She could see everything at a glance. Apart from a treatment table, the back was lined with shelves of medicine.
There didn’t seem to be a doctor around, but two elderly people were sitting on stools. One was undergoing moxibustion therapy, and the other appeared to be waiting for the doctor.
The elderly person waiting for the doctor saw Cherise enter and said, “Are you here to see Dr. Garcia, kid? If so, you’ll have to wait a bit. He’s gone home for a medicine he forgot. You can sit down and wait.”
The other elderly person, who was receiving moxibustion therapy, lazily chimed in, “Sit down. The elders here get treatment for free, so waiting a little longer is okay. Dr. Garcia’s home isn’t around, and it’ll take at least half an hour for him
to return.
Cherise looked at the two kind–hearted elderly people and then at the sign on the wall, which read “Free medical treatment for widows, orphans, the disabled, and the sick. A warm smile spread across her face as she gently replied, “Okay.”
Then she sat down on a small stool in front of them, waiting patiently.
