The following morning. Betrico was blessed with a beautiful stretch of clear blue skies.
Cherise got a call from Bella early in the day. “Hello, Ms. Leach, are you coming back today? I’m so excited I can hardly control myself–I think I might have mixed up the time!”
Dennis, sitting nearby, yelled, “Look at your memory! Ms. Leach said today–why are you going on and on? What if she’s already on a plane–wouldn’t that be annoying?”
Cherise could already hear the excitement in their voices on the phone, and she smiled as she replied, “I’ve packed my bags and I’m almost ready to head to the airport, so don’t worry!”
Bella’s excitement grew even more. “Awesome! I’m heading to the market now. Dennis, take me on your motorcycle, walking is too slow!”
Hearing their familiar voices made Cherise smile sweetly.
Fifteen minutes later, Morris arrived. “Are you ready?”
Cherise nodded, and Morris took her luggage.
As they drove away from Glenshire Gardens toward the airport, it was clear that Morris seemed a little more cautious today.
“You seem a bit tense today,” Cherise said during the drive.
Morris glanced at her and smiled, nodding. “Well, I’m heading to a place where you’ve lived, and I’ll be meeting your elders. So, yeah, I’m a little nervous.”
Cherise gently touched Morris’s face. “Dennis and Bella are like family to me, they’ve watched me grow up. They’re amazing. And they will definitely like the man I love, so there’s no need to worry.”
Leo and Hugh were surprised. It seemed that only Cherise could make Morris feel this way.
To be fair, Morris had changed since meeting Cherise. He’d become more down–to–earth.
Both the Chivers Group and Syphonea Group were run by skilled executives, so Morris was traveling to Yasvissa with Steven, Leo, and Hugh.
Leo and Hugh sat in the front seat, while Steven followed in another car with a load of luggage.
Before long, they arrived at the airport.
At first, Morris had planned to board a commercial flight to Yasvisså, but his gifts kept piling up, so in the end, they had to make a last–minute change and use Morris’s private jet.
The staff at the private tarmac spent half an hour checking all the luggage.
Morris and Cherise were already inside the spacious cabin, waiting to take off.
The interior of the jet was lavishly decorated, with dining tables, plush seats, a kitchen, gourmet food, and fine wine.

Any other woman would’ve been thrilled to be in such a luxurious private jet, but Cherise was no ordinary woman. She stayed calm, as though she was used to this kind of luxury.
Morris watched her gaze out the window, his eyes softening with affection. “Finally, a chance to relax–if we can, let’s make more time for just the two of us.”

A moment later, Steverrand the others boarded. “Mr. Chivers, we’re ready,” they said.
Morris nodded and instructed, “Tell the crew to prepare for takeoff
Just then, Cherise spoke up. “Ilold on, Marlon and the others are on their way.”
Morris looked puzzled. “Marlon? Who else?”
“I meant to tell you yesterday, but I completely forgot when Hannia showed up,” Cherise explained.
Soon, they could hear several voices coming from outside the cabin.
The crew helped an older man with slightly graying hair into the cabin–it was Marlon.
Seeing him, Morris immediately stood up.
Cherise, who knew him well, stayed seated and watched the interaction..
Morris, usually intimidating with strangers, was respectful when it came to Cherise’s elders. “Marlon, please sit.”
Marlon smiled. “Morris, I hope you don’t mind me hitching a ride on your jet. It’s been years since I’ve been to Saphira.”
Morris nodded politely. “Of course not.”
“Marlon! Why didn’t you wait for me?” said Trent, who had insisted on coming with them after hearing Cherise was returning to Yasvissa.
He wasn’t alone–he had brought his grandson, Zander.
Morris’s face shifted slightly when he noticed three more people had joined them. He thought, ‘Isn’t it supposed to be a quiet trip for just the two of us?‘
Leo playfully patted Steven’s shoulder. “Looks like things just got interesting! Morris is probably feeling a bit overwhelmed, by all the excitement!”
Just as Leo said that, another cheerful voice called from the entrance.
“Finally made it! Blame my niece for taking so long with her makeup–she made me wait half an hour!
“Is everyone here now? Mr. Chivers, Cherise, Marlon, Mr. Graham, we’re not missing anyone, are we? Xenia, hurry up and get on!” Truman walked in, followed closely by his niece, Xenia.
As Xenia rushed in, she said, “I’m here! This is my first time on Mr. Chivers’s private jet. I had to take some selfies for Facebook. Sorry for the delay, everyone!
“Cherise, Mr. Chivers, I’m here! Oh, Marlon, you’re here too?”
The cabin, once calm and comfortable, was now filled with lively chatter.
Morris, though he’d hoped for some quiet time, accepted the unexpected crowd with some quiet frustration. He couldn’t help but twitch his lips.
Leo stifled a laugh from the front seat. “What a change of plans! Morris probably thought he was getting some quiet alone time with Cherise.”
