Chapter 114

Katrina’s POV

I happily wrapped my arms around Silas, leaning my weight against him and letting him support me.

All I wanted to do was to be away from this man.

Before we could take a step, Ethan let out a low chuckle, his face twisted in pain and fury. “You really thought you could walk out of here just like that?”

What? I raised my eyes to look at Ethan, finding a twisted look on his face.

I couldn’t deny that Ethan looked very ugly right now and it made me wonder what I saw in him.

Chapter 114

It took a moment for tre to process what had happened. And then I screamed.

“Silas!”

His body collapsed against mine and I staggered, trying to steady us both.

Ethan stood at the same spot, watching me with his eyes glinting evilly.

I ignored him, focusing on doing whatever I could to save Silas.

For what seemed to be the first time, I feared for another life that wasn’t mine.

I could feel the tears filling my eyes and I forced myself to blink it back.

“Stay with me,” I begged, my voice trembling. “Please, Silas, stay with me.”

I didn’t know what to do… I felt completely helpless as I pressed harder.

I wasn’t certain what about the chances of us getting help here. I didn’t know if Silas had come around with Phillip or something else, but all I needed was for someone to come help us.

But all I could do was hope.

I pressed harder against his wound, my entire body shaking. His blood was everywhere–on my hands, on my clothes, pooling beneath him.

I felt hopeless, like his life was slowing slipping away from my hands. I had to stay here to stop the bleeding, and I didn’t know if the people outside where on our side.
