Chapter 133
Courtney and Hayden were in a standoff on the couch for a long time. Hayden’s legs were not quite well yet, but his waist was fine, and he felt upset.
Meanwhile, Courtney, who had gotten used to hitting Hayden, automatically slapped him.
Hayden was stunned. Covering his face, he leaned on Courtney and looked at her pitifully. “Why did you hit me?”

Courtney couldn’t help but laugh and tried to push him away, but she was powerless against him.
“I took some vacation days. Want to go on a trip?” Courtney w whispered to Hayden,
“Why do you suddenly want to travel?” Hayden perked up, looking at Courtney with surprise.
Courtney thought awhile and said, “I want to show you the world.”
Their medical team had been trapped in Weldon for five years; Hayden had been stuck just as long
“Okay, let’s go then.” Hayden nodded. “But my legs aren’t great.”
“Thelp you Courtney said, gently rubbing Hayden’s face.
“If you keep doing that, I think you’ve fallen for me,” Hayden teased, looking at Courtney with a cheeky grin.
Courtney sighed and didn’t say anything
Hayden tried to push his luck, reaching to unhook Courtney’s bra.
Courtney thought about hitting him but decided against it..
Seeing Courtney didn’t object, Hayden got excited as he pulled hecup and undressed her.
Courtney looked at Hayden. “Do you not want your legs, or do you think your ribs are healing fast?”
Hayden slumped, sitting shirtless on the side like a child being scolded, frustrated. He wouldn’t hide any emotion from and only from Courtney.
Courtney looked at him and softened her tone. “Let me… think about it”
Hayden glared at Courtney angrily. “Think about what? You are
wife.
Courtney was speechless.
“You must have someone else on your mind. That’s why you’re not accepting me,” Hayden said, feeling hurt.
“It’s not that I’m not accepting you. I’m just worried you can’t handle it, you’re not in the best health,” Courtney explained.
“Are you kidding? I’m as strong as an ox Even pr. Long at the hospital said I’m recovering quickly, Hayden protested.

Courtney sat quietly beside him, uttermg no word
Hayden sulked by himsell, deliberately turning away from Courtney
ney knew that Hayden would never make a move if she showed the slightest reluctance.

Courtney wasn’t sure what she was thinking. After a long pause, she stood up and extended her hand to Hayden. “Come on, let’s go to the bedroom.”

Courtney pulled her bra from under her T–shirt and tossed it at Hayden. “Offer expires soon.”
Hayden was shocked at first, but then his expression turned serious, “I don’t like forcing you.”
“You lay still. T’I move myself, okay?” Courtney said and went to the bedroom, her ears turning crimson
Courtney thought. Though I have no practical experience, I am a doctor and have had plenty of biology classes.
Just then, Courtney’s phone rang. It was the hospital calling
Courtney went to th
the bathroom, locked the door, turned on the shower, and answered the phone. “Hello?”
“Ms. Edwards, are you sure you want to apply for this peacekeeping medical mission in Goyngo?”
The hospital called to reconfirm. After all, Courtney had just returned from South Weidan, where she had gone through many dangers.
Everyone was surprised I that she applied to go out again. James would probably be shocked when he saw the application list.

“The mission is at the end of the year, so you have six months to prepare.”
After hanging up, Courtney sat silently by the bathtub for a long time, thinking, “Hayden said he had something on Lucas. All I need to do is make everyone aware I’m married to Hayden.
if Lucas wanted to threaten Hayden, he would target me first. I pledded with Tyson at the hospital to let me take Hayden’s place and drew Lucas out. Hayden has suffered a lot. I can’t let them use him anymore.

After a quick shower, Courtney stepped out of the bathroom to find Hayden sprawled on the bed, completely undressed and waiting for her.
Leaning against the doorframe, Courtney looked at Hayden with exasperation. “You’ve been moving quite quickly lately.”
Hayden grinned. “I’m just laying still.”
Courtney threw a towel over Hayden’s face and stood by the bed, blushing and unsure what to do.
