Morris held Cherise’s hand tightly as they walked out of the vende.
Cherise hurried along without saying anything, quietly staying by his side.
As soon as autumn arrived in Betrico, the weather started getting colder by the day, and a gust of wind would give you goosebumps,
Cherise shivered a little and moved closer to Morris,
Morris noticed and embraced her tightly, rubbing her cool hands to warm them.
Before they reached the parking lot, two figures suddenly jumped out from the side.
Steven and Hugh, walking beside them, were on high alert, but relaxed when the two figures shouted, “It’s us, Leo and Crow!”

“Leo, are you okay now? Did Crow rescue you?”
Steven and Hugh couldn’t stop asking excitedly when they saw Leo.
-Leo walked up to Morris. “Mr. Chivers, Ms. Leach, you’re back!”
Morris nodded. “Yeah, did you get your injuries treated? Sorry for the trouble.”
“Thankfully, Crow arrived in time, or I would’ve lost an arm,” Leo explained honestly, “Crow also helped treat my wounds, so Tm okay now.”
Morris patted Leo on the shoulder. “Don’t worry, I won’t let your suffering be in vain. I will personally take off Joseph’s other
arm!”
As soon as he finished speaking, Morris’s deep eyes were tightly fixed on the few SUVs ahead, while Cherise stood straight from Morris’s embrace. She kept her eyes on the road ahead, just like him.
Both of them silently counted down in their minds, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
The sound of car doors being flung open urgently was heard from about 16 feet away from them.
A large group of men in black rushed out of the SUVs, surrounding Morris and Cherise closely.
The parking lot was divided into east and west sides, and this west side was less frequented, with almost no one coming here.
A few seconds later, another familiar figure got out of one of the SUVs.
Seeing who it was, Morris and Cherise exchanged a look.
It was Joseph.
He walked over and stopped in front of Morris,
Without the reporters around, he seemed even more arrogant. He glanced at Cherise and then at Morris, “Morris, haven’t had the chance to congratulate you yet?”
“No need for that. Step aside, don’t block the way!” Morris responded coolly.

As he spoke, he pointed a finger at Crow
Morris’s eyes were full of disdain. “Oh, my guy can leave if he wants. No need to listen to you. Let’s go
Joseph, seeing they were really walking away, shouted, “This impostor of Duskson is actually in league with Morris. Leave him behind, and the rest of you can go. If you’re determined to leave, then don’t blame me for being harsh
Morris stopped. “You’re just as despicable as always.”
“Well, that’s still better than you trying to trick me with a fake Duskson, isn’t it?” Joseph said casually while playing with his mechanical hand
Then, he shouted to the men in black he brought along, “Hey, seize the fake Duskson!”
All the men in black, upon hearing the order, moved towards Crow
In the next second, a figure dashed forward quickly, grabbing Joseph’s throat firmly.
Joseph couldn’t breathe suddenly, his eyes staring motionless at Cherise who was choking him.
“I told you at GlobalVision Group last time, mess with me again and I’ll chop off your left hand! Why won’t you ever listen?” Cherise said, her voice cold as she grasped Joseph’s neck.
“L–let me go, we can talk this over!” Joseph seemed about to suffocate, puzzled by Cherise’s fierceness.
Cherise snorted. “Hmph, he’s with me, not Morris. I’m the kind of person who holds grudges. He was following my orders- if you have a problem with that, you can come directly to me!”
Joseph wasn’t totally without skill, but he was missing one arm, reducing his previous fighting ability.
He seemed to be pleading with Cherise, but his eyes were filled with malice.
After a moment, he ignored the hand gripping his throat and shouted with all his strength, “Catch that fake Duskson, I want him dead.
Once the order was given, all the men in black charged forward without hesitation.
The two sides were at a standoff and then started fighting.
Steven, Leo, and Hugh were carefully protecting Crow.
Morris quickly came over to Cherise. “Cherise, don’t get your hands dirty, leave him to me.”
Cherise nodded and was about to let go and hand him over to Morris.
Joseph gave a mischievous smile and grabbed her wrist tightly with a reverse grip.
No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t shake him off.
Morris’s anger flared up instantly, and he forcefully kicked Joseph away.
“Ah!” Somehow, Cherise screamed, drenched in sweat, and suddenly went weak.
Thankfully, just as she was about to fall, Morris caught her with his arm.
