Morris closer to whisper, “She’s the daughter of the medical expert Daniel Hawkins, and her mother was the most favored princess of the last royal dynasty.
“Growing up in such an environment, witnessing schemes and deceit from a young age, how could she be simple? Just stay cautious around her.” As he spoke, he glanced sharply at Rita ahead.
Cherise nodded and replied, “Alright.” However, deep inside, she had already begun to remember the name Megan firmly.
Whether it was the longing in Rayburn’s eyes, the reluctance in Gavino’s gaze, or the fleeting shock on Rita’s face, it all stirred a bit of confusion in Cherise.
However, since it was Gavino’s birthday, Cherise decided to figure things out until after.
Everyone was surprised when they walked inside the great hall of the Simpson residence. “Wow, this is festive. Look at that little banner,” Marlon exclaimed.
With an awkward smile, Truman called out from up front, “This was all planned by my niece. It has nothing to do with me, nothing at all.”
When Cherise, Morris, Jason, and the other young people entered the grand hall, they couldn’t help but pause in surprise.
The style was very Xenia, indeed. It rivaled that banner from last time at Ebb & Flow. It was even more extravagant; the whole hall was drenched in different colors.
In the center of the hall, a banner read, “Throughout history, brilliant figures endure, and Gavino is one of them. Gavino, with you, heaven and earth remain eternal, sun and moon share longevity.
“The timeless star, celebrating his 80th birthday, the pride of the Simpson family, the pride of Clusia!”
Seeing these banners, Gavino laughed until his eyes disappeared. He said, “This kid, calling me a star, always telling the plain truth.” Xenia really knew what the seniors liked.
The Simpson family was almost there to welcome the guests, offering delicious food and champagne.
“Where’s Xenia? I haven’t seen her,” Cherise asked Truman curiously.
Truman shrugged and pointed towards Jason, saying, “She’s stuck in a nerve–wracking blind date and is feeling shy, so she’s hiding now. She’ll probably come out later when she has a show
Morris and Cherise followed the direction Truman pointed with their eyes. “Jason seems quite nice,” Cherise remarked. Morris couldn’t help but agree, nodding to himself.
Everyone took their seats, and indeed, Xenia appeared on stage. She said, “Hello everyone, thanks for coming to Gavino’s birthday party. We don’t have much going on today, just some songs to wish him a happy birthday.
“Now, let’s welcome Truman to sing a song for everyone. Give it up for him!” After that, she quickly ran off the stage.
Morris leaned over to Cherise and whispered, “Xenia seems different today. Not as emo or hyperactive as before. I remember she used to be quite the charmer.”
Cherise chuckled softly and said, “Xenia likes guys who wear gold–rimmed glasses.” Seeing Xenia disappear off stage again, Jason raised an eyebrow and smirked.
At the birthday party, everyone’s thoughts were varied, especially the Mullers, who frequently glanced at Cherise. However, during the birthday banquet, the focus should still be on the birthday person. So they didn’t do anything.

And so, Gavino’s birthday celebration slowly came to an end with laughter filling the air.
At the entrance of the Simpson residence, George’s wife, with Truman, Tina, and Xenia, were saying goodbye to the

Rayburn walked out with Jason. He said, “Thanks for having us. It’s been ages since we had this much fun. We’ll visit again
soon.”
George’s wife smiled gracefully, “You’re too kind. Thank you for coming today. The Simpson residence is always open for you, Mr. Muller.”
Rayburn looked around, hoping to spot Cherise. Thinking they might want to stay a bit longer, he decided to leave first.
Just a couple of steps out, Truman called out, “Jason, wait up!” Rayburn and Jason stopped.
Truman ran over, nodded at Rayburn, and then took out his phone and said to Jason, “Jason, let’s add each other on WhatsApp. We’re all in Betrico, and our friends know each other.
“We can grab a drink at Ebb & Flow when you’re free.” He said this while giving Jason a pat on the arm.
Jason knew that Truman was straightforward. He nodded and took out his phone to exchange contact info.
Once Jason left, Truman hurried back to Xenia’s side. He placed a hand on her shoulder and said, “Xenia, I went all out just to get Jason’s WhatsApp for your lifelong happiness. Come on, where’s your phone? Let me share his contact with you.”
Hearing this, Xenia flushed. She said, “What are you doing? Oh my gosh!” With that, she ran back inside, covering her face.
Truman shouted from behind, “Hey, you silly kid, I get you. Why are you running? I sent his contact via WhatsApp, check it out yourself.”
