On the next day, Cherise picked up her phone after breakfast to check Truman’s message about the condition of his grandfather, Gavino Simpson.
After getting a general understanding, she changed into some comfortable clothes and headed out.
Outside, a light rain started to fall, creating a misty atmosphere,

“Oh, Mom, Mom, what are you saying? Let’s get inside; Grandpa might fall asleep if he waits too long,” said Truman. Truman quickly stopped Mrs. Simpson from continuing, glancing around worriedly as if someone might overhear.

With them leading the way, Cherise walked into the Simpson family estate.
One had to say, the Simpson family’s decor was very modern and minimalist.
Unlike other grand families with extravagant furnishings, this place was filled with youth and warmth.

It suited them perfectly
“Come on, Cherise, let me introduce you to the grandfather,” M, Simpson sald warmly, taking Cherise by the arm.
Cherise allowed her to lead the way. The family felt genuine and welcoming, making interactions comfortable.
Soon, she was brought by Mrs. Simpson and Truman to a room at the end of the first floor.
They knocked on the door and stepped inside.
The room was spacious with a suite layout, contrasting the modern style outside. It was classic and elegant and rich in scholarly atmosphere.
Two male voices emerged from the next room.
“Dad, just come out with me for a moment. This doctor Truman brought is incredible. Phoebe was ill last time and that young woman cured her.
“I don’t want to. Mrs. Chivers and Marlon suggested acupuncture You know how scared I am of needles; they hurt a lot,” said Gavino.
“Dad, acupuncture, and injections are two different things. Try it. The doctor is a professor from Betrico University; it’s not easy for her to come all this way. Let’s not make it a wasted trip.
“Plus, your 80th birthday is coming up soon and you’ve invited so many of your old friends. You wouldn’t want them to tease you about being unsteady on your feet.”
“That’s certainly not an option, but I’m still afraid of the pain,” said Gavino.
As soon as they entered, they heard George Simpson, the head of the Simpson family, persuading Gavino.
Truman and Mrs. Simpson gave Cherise an awkward smile and softly cleared their throats.
“Honey, Cherise, Cherise, Ms. Leach is here!” Mrs. Simpson called out toward the room.
Upon hearing the voice, George, the head of the Simpson family came out.
Upon seeing Cherise, a hint of awe similar to what Mrs. Simpson felt during their first meeting shone in his eyes. “Oh wow, Ms. Leach is here, I’ve heard so much about you.”

Then she continued by asking. “Where’s Mr. Simpson?
George pointed inside and lowered his voice, saying, “He’s inside, like a big kid, afraid of pain and needs some coaxing.”
Cherise gave a soft smile, nodded to show she understood, and quietly walked into the room.
