“You’re right. You don’t,” Cherise replied as soon as Jacob finished speaking.
“Cherise, 1–Jacob tried to add something more.
Cherise interrupted again. “Mr. Leach, let’s just keep things as they were before. Let’s live our own lives. Don’t say anything more; I’m not a saint and forgiveness isn’t something I understand.”
Cherise cut him off right then and there as if she knew exactly what Jacob was about to say next

Oliver, sitting in his wheelchair, shook his head. He had never rected the Leach family to end up like this. It was all because of his own selfishness,
He lifted his aged eyes slightly. “Cherise. I won’t ask for your forgiveness, just take the shares of the Leach Group as compensation for you and your mom.”
