Cherise wasn’t one to be pretentions. She picked up a document abeled Mondial Regalia and signed her name with a flourish.

Cherise nodded, and as they went downstairs, they happened to run into Truman and Xenia coming in.
As soon as Xenia saw Cherise, she got so excited that she wanted to rush over and hug her, but Truman quickly held her back firmly.
“Hey! Truman, I haven’t seen Cherise in ages, and I’ve missed her so much. Just let me go hug her!” Xenia protested
Truman stood in front of her, blinking and muttering quietly, “Didn’t you see who’s standing next to her? That man will get jealous in no time, and it’s me who’ll end up paying for it!”
Only now did Xenia notice Morris at Cherise’s side. She retreated a couple of steps and muttered to Truman, “Understood, Truman.
When Cherise saw Xenia, she let go of Morris’s hand and walked over to her, warmly calling out, “Xenia.”
The sudden release of her hand made Morris’s expression darken.

Cherise was always happy to see Xenia, so she responded, “Since you’re both here, why don’t you join us for some beef stew? Morris knows a place with amazing food. Bring your uncle along too.”
She glanced at Morris after speaking. He seemed nonchalant and said, “Sure, let’s all go!”
“Really? Awesome! Dieting can wait till after this meal–let’s go! Xenia exclaimed.
Truman was also happy; it was rare for Morris to be so approachable, “Okay, let’s get going then!”
And so, what was originally supposed to be a cozy dinner for two became a gathering with a party of eight.
Meanwhile, news of Shirley winning first place in the piano competition hosted by the Clusia Pianists‘ Association was spreading online like wildfire.
