“I simply just don’t understand why we have to leave the house before the dinner party, which is in… Lily peered behind Asher to get a good luck on the wall clock behind him, “Il hours!“That’s a long time, Asher, and I am not leaving my bed before the appointed time.”
Asher sighed heavily and massaged his temples. He already had his bath and was dressed in a pair of joggers and a loose T- shirt, and for the past 10 minutes, he’d been trying to get Lily out of the bed to bath and get dressed because they have a long day ahead of them, yet… She wasn’t budging. “If you don’t get up in the next 30 seconds, Lily, I am going to carry you into the bathroom and lock you in there.”
Her eyes widened, and she sat up on the bed. “No need to be a caveman, Mr Allard. We can talk civilly. All I’m asking is that you tell me why you want me to bath and leave this gorgeous room and bed, when our event is in 11 hours.”
Deciding to not fight a loosing battle, Asher decided to give her a rundown of their activities for the day. “You don’t have a gown for the dinner, so we’re going shopping. I also assumed you’d want to get your hair and nails done, we also have to move rooms tonight. A little sight–seeing won’t hurt too”
Lily raised a brow and stared at him with squinted brows, “you want to take me shopping?” Asher frowned and nodded.
“Why do you sound suspicious of that?”
She shrugged and got up from the bed, “you’ve just never taken me shopping.”
“We’ve not been to a dinner party the past years, I prefer to stay off the media too. Plus, you’ve never asked me to take shopping.” Lily opened her mouth to tell him that it was his faul but instead shook her head and walked off to the bathroom.
“If only you said so earlier, I wouldn’t have spent so long fighting you.” She said and closed the door behind her. The second she locked the door, a smile crept up her face despite her protests, and she happily hopped into the shower.
There’s been a difference in the way Asher acts towards her for a little while now, it became more apparent yesterday and despite the little warning bell going off at the back of her mind, she couldn’t help the growing expectation she had about their relationship. The little moment they had yesterday flashed through her mind, and she felt heat crawl up her face from her neck, and she slapped her cheeks lightly. “Stop daydreaming about things like that, Lily!” She whisper–yelled, forcing herself to think better and holy thoughts as she scrubbed herself clean.
When she was done with her bath, Lily soon came to realize that she walked into the bathroom without taking what to wear once she stepped out of the shower. She thought of calling out to Asher to pick out something for her, but the thought of him rummaging through her underwear horrified her, so she stood frozen in the middle of the bathroom, thinking of what to do. Finally, she expelled a deep breath, and decided to just walk out with a robe. He can see her in a robe, he has after all seen her in her nightwears, but when she looked around the bathroom for a robe, there was none.
Grunting in frustration, she secured the towel tightly around her, and tiptoed to the door, she took a very deep breath before she slowly pulled the door open. She poked her head out through the door and did a quick survey of the room once she confirmed it was empty, she immediately ran out to the direction of the wardrobe. She felt the towel loosening as she scanned through her box in search of an outfit, and immediately hastened her search for an outfit, A big smile lit up her face and she gave herself a thumbs up when she found one.
“Are you done, Lily?” Asher’s voice reverberated round the room just as she was about to run off into the bathroom, taking her by surprise. She immediately tried to make sure she was tightly covered before him, but right before she could, her towel and her outfit slipped out of her grasp, leaving her bare and horrified before Asher.
A defeaning silence filled the room for a brief second before a horrified scream left Lily’s lips. Asher that was rooted to the spot, immediately turned his back to her and practically ran out of the room, while Lily hurriedly picked up her clothes and ran off into the bathroom. She locked it and laid her back on it, while taking deep breaths to calm her nerves.
“Maybe he didn’t get to see anything! He couldn’t have, it all happened so fast. She mumbled as she quickly dressed up. afraid that if she wastes any more time, there’d be a repeat of events. “What if he did?” She mumbled as she wore her last

Wing in her eyes. What if he actually saw her and
piece of clothing, and the stared at herself in the mirror, scepticon is disgusted by her?! She immediately wrapped her arms around herself as if to shield it from his invisible eyes.
Taking a deep leath, she tried to force herself to stop thinking of it. It doesn’t matter if he saw, it doesn’t matter if he’s disgusted… “We don’t care she pointed at her reflection in the mirror as she said that, but the palpitations of her heart betrayed her words, “we are going to go out there and we are going to act like nothing happened. She took a deep breath. and dusted off imaginary lints and dirts from her dress.
She placed her hand on the door knob, and just as she was about to twist it open, a repeat of what happened played out in her mind and she screamed. “Why did that just have to happen? Why? Why???”
A knock on the door interrupted her screaming session and she stared sceptically at the door, praying it was the porter that would move their luggage, and not him. She can’t face him just yet, but fate laughed in her face when Asher’s voice came in from the other end of the door.
“Are you okay? I heard you screaming?
Heat flooded her face, and she instantly cleared her throat, “I’m fine. I was just having a… Moment”
Asher’s lips curled in a spille and he nodded even though he couldn’t see her, “I’ll be waiting outside, you might want to round off your moment soon.” He immediately ran off once he was done speaking, panicked that she would open the door immediately.
Truth is they were running behind schedule already, but the thought of seeing her face after just seeing all of her felt… He expelled a breath, his head falling back as he did.
his Seeing Lily naked was the last thing he expected. He always knew that she was a beautiful one, but… He quickly put hands into his pockets and adjusted. The image of her is now imprinted in his head, and he’s scared of the raging desireit was stirring inside him. He felt like a hormonal teen.
His thoughts were cut off by Lily’s footsteps, and he cleared his throat, and took his hands off his pockets. He tried to act and behave normally, but the second he turned and saw Lily, his breath hitched involuntarily, and for the first time in a long while, Asher Allard’s heart couldn’t stop thumping so erratically
