In the lounge, Cherise emerged after refreshing herself and had changed into a pre–set clean outfit: a white T–shirt paired with denim shorts, showcasing her long, smooth legs. She appeared fresh and clean.
At this time, Dora hurriedly rushed in through the door.
“What’s wrong?” Cherise asked in confusion.
Dora seemed nervous as she spoke, “Your man’s come looking for you. If you don’t show up soon, the GlobalVision Group might just get trashed!”
Hearing this, Cherise was stunned. She glanced at the clock on the wall–it was 9:20 p.m.
She had been so busy that she forgot about Morris.
Cherise, who usually remained composed, suddenly felt a bit flustered and took out her phone from her handbag.

After reading all the messages, Cherise bit her lower lip and called Morris.
However, the reply Cherise received was from a robotic woman’s voice, stating, “Hello, the number you have dialed is currently switched off.”
Cherise looked at Dora and asked, “Where is he now?”
Dora pointed upstairs and said, “In the office. He’s like a devil; no one dares to get close. He looks tough to deal with!”
Hearing this, Cherise grabbed her handbag and prepared to go find Morris.
Just as Cherise opened the door, Crow appeared and said, “Hey, Boss, where are you going? How about we grab some late- night snacks together? I heard…”
Before Crow could finish speaking, Cherise walked briskly out.
“Hey, Boss, I’m not done talking. Where are you going? That place grills the best oysters and pork around. She’s really strange,” Crow remarked. This was the first time he had seen Cherise appear so anxious.
He turned to ask Dora, “What’s wrong with Boss?”

Cherise nodded.

Cherise was doubtful, but since there wasn’t any other option, she said “Okay” and hurried outside.
Crow looked at Dora with a puzzled expression and asked, “Dora, is this our Boss? Am I seeing things or hearing things wrong?”
Dora sighed softly and said, “No doubt about it! She’s fallen for him!”
Crow exclaimed, “No way, I need to check out the guy who has captivated my Boss.”
As he was about to leave, Dora grabbed him and pulled him back.
“Hey, what’s up?” Crow was puzzled.
Dora lightly tapped Crow on the head and asked, “Are you really going to just follow Cherise around to meet her boyfriend?
“Imagine he couldn’t find her and he’s already upset, then he sees her with a guy younger than himself. What would he
think?
“Plus, we’re talking about Morris, who’s known for being ruthless. Be careful, or he might…”
Dora mimicked a throat–slitting motion.
Crow gulped in fear and said, “Well, I’ll go ahead and move that guy back to the rehabilitation room. We’ll meet next time when Boss’s boyfriend is in a better mood.”
Having said that, Crow quickly ran off.
In the GlobalVision Group office, Morris sat on the sofa with a cold, distant expression that radiated an intimidating chill. Laura, who was serving coffee, couldn’t help but tremble with fear in his presence.
