Jason sped up, and Dora, sensing something wrong, opened her eyes and sat up straight.
“What’s wrong? Why are we speeding up all of a sudden?” Dora asked.
In the front, Hugh honestly stated, “There are a few cars following us!”
“Could there be a problem with that Roy in the trunk?” As someone who had been with Cherise for many years, Dora wasn’t too surprised by such a scenario.
Cherise slowly leaned back and took out the mirror from her makeup bag again.
Opening it, she saw a small red dot through the mirror from the car behind them.
“There’s a sniper in their car,” Cherise said seriously.

Watching as Hugh quickly pulled a gun from his jacket pocket, Cherise said coldly, “Hugh, give me the gun.”

Just as Hugh was about to speak, Dora interrupted, “Cherise can handle it. Just listen to her.”

Cherise remained calm and collected, tying her hair into a ponytail with a hairband, and leaning against the window. Her eyes became fierce and determined.
Cherise instructed, “Jason, follow my instructions to control the speed.”
Jason quickly replied, “Got it.”
Then Cherise said in a cool voice, “Floor it and switch to the leftmost lane.”
Jason kept a straight face and carried out the series of actions as Cherise commanded.
Cherise spoke again, “Now slow down to 80 mph.”
Jason complied.
In the following moment, Cherise loaded the firearm, swiftly lowered the car window, and discharged two rounds at the black vehicle located directly behind her at five o’clock.
