Chapter 46
ISABEL’S POINT OF VIEW
“No! That’s too risky. We can’t take the Luna out of the pack because a lot of things could go wrong…” Gina trailed off in a panic.
“The more we hide here…” Savannah argued as she gestured towards my room.
“The more things would go from bad to worse. So I advise you to stop thinking about the worst things that could happen again and be open minded,” she remarked, and I wiped my tears.
“Okay… I’m listening,” I murmured as tears still rolled down my face, which I quickly wiped.
“I know this is hard for you; it hurts, but everything will be alright. We just need to work together,” Savannah consoled me, and she kissed my forehead.
“So, Yuna has everything under control, but I need to make a few potions with your help that would help nock out the guards at the pack border before we leave,” she explained, drafting out the plans.
“So where exactly are we heading to?” I asked, and Savannah stared at me.
“The Sunrest Field,” she stated, and I raised my eyebrows.
“Savvy, in as much as I want answers, I don’t get you. Please just tell me exactly what I want to hear,” I insisted, and she sighed.
She sighed, and began, “I’ve been having visions about the Sunrest Field. I don’t know where it is or what it entails, but I think it’s going to bear the answers we desperately seek.”
“I asked Yuna for answers, whether or not she had heard of the Sunrest Field, but she had no idea where it was at first but promised to do some research.” She explained, and I paid attention to what she was saying.
“I got a text that the files she obtained from Grandma Shu’s bag proved she had visited the Sunrest Field and had a map that could lead us all the way there,” Savannah revealed, and my head pounded with an instant headache.
“I think we should drop a letter for Hayden right before we leave. If there is someone who’s going to hide the truth about our whereabouts, it’s Hades,” Savannah revealed.
“Then maybe we should just tell him…” I trailed off.
“No! Telling Hayden is like asking him to stop us. You know how protective my brothers can be, right?” she questioned, and somehow, I understood exactly what she meant by those words. Savannah was right, telling Hayden was like asking him to stop us from going.
At this point, I need answers. Anything that could just prove my innocence to everyone who thinks Jenna’s prophecy would come to pass.
“I’m in,” I stated, and although Gina looked a bit sceptical about the whole idea, she took a deep breath in and out and nodded, deciding to be a part of our plan.
“Good, now that we’ve all agreed to go ahead with this, it’s high time I tell you what’s in,” she announced and showed us a piece of paper.
“We would be needing food, water, and a few clothes, then we’re good,” she explained, to which I agreed with her.
“I will make preparations for that and send it out of the pack, so no one gets a hint of our absence on time,” Gina promised, and I looked at her with grateful eyes.

“Everything will be alright, any Luna,” she assured, and somehow I became revealed that everything would be alright. I had nothing to fear when I had my friends with me, they are my biggest assurance.
AUTHOR’S POINT OF VIEW
“You have been quiet for so long after promising me heaven on Earth! How stupid and weak of you, Evelyn,” Aunt Lucia screamed angrily, and Evelyn drank from the glass of wine in her hand.
“I would be offended if you repeat those words, Lucia. You think it’s easy to just walk into their lives and pull Isabel out of it?” She questioned sarcastically.
“You’re their aunt; if it’s a piece of cake, you would not be in my room screaming like a lunatic,” Evelyn spat, and Lucia slapped her across the face. Evelyn gasped as she rubbed the spot that stung with pain.
“How dare you raise your filthy hands on me? You think this is some stupid TV show where I don’t repeat the favour?” Evelyn asked, and when Lucia raised her hand to slap her again, Evelyn held her hand in mid–air.
“Oh my goodness!” Lucia gasped from the impact of Evelyn’s fierce slap on her face.
“In your next life, don’t you dare try to hurt me, Lucia. I’m anything but weak,” she retorted, and Lucía fell silent. “In fact, leave my house this instant,” she spat angrily.
“It hasn’t come to that, Evelyn. We have a lot to talk about. You can’t just tell me to leave,” Lucia pleaded.
“Leave my house before I lose my mind!” she snapped, and Lucia glared daggers at her before storming out.
“I can’t believe the nerve of this woman!” Evelyn fumed.
Something had to be done. She needed someone more powerful than Lucia on her side. The question is, who?
“What’s going on? I saw Lady Lucia outside the house just now. Don’t tell me you’re in cahoots with the old lady?” Amelia teased as she leaned against the door.
“So what if I am?” Evelyn replied, and Amelia rolled her eyes.
“I’m not saying it’s wrong, I’m just concerned. Lady Lucia has a reputation for being cunning. I just want you to be very careful,” Amelia advised, and Evelyn looked away as her sister’s phone rang.
“Viktor,” the caller ID read, and Amelia ignored the call, slipping her phone into her sling bag. It was clear that Viktor was her secret weapon.
“I…I should leave. I have something important to attend to,” Amelia stammered, then hurried out of the room.
Evelyn smirked, staring at the spot where Amelia had been standing a few seconds ago.
There is no way she is letting Amelia get to the top. It is Viktor or nothing.
The question is, how will she get close to the old man because it is obvious that he is involved with her sister?
