The excitement from Betrico University’s centennial celebration lingered into the night. The campus radio blasted a variety of rousing songs non–stop.
Once Cherise stepped out of Trent’s office, she pulled out her phone. Unfortunately, no matter how many times she tried, it remained off with a dead battery
Looking at the brightly lit campus of Betrico University, she quickly headed downstairs. As soon as she got downstairs, someone called out to her. “Ms. Leach”
Cherise stopped and turned around. There was the man with one arm, standing by the wall at the entrance of the administration building.
She frowned slightly. “It’s you?” For some reason, this guy gave her an uncomfortable feeling.
Joseph looked at the confused Cherise and said with a smile, “I should now call you Ms. Leach, congratulations, Ms. Leach! I was wondering if you would do me the honor of having a meal with me?”
Hearing this, Cherise frowned even more deeply. She spoke coldly, “Sorry, we’re not that familiar with each other. If there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving
With that, she walked off without waiting for Joseph to respond, Joseph watched Cherise walk away, a mischievous smile growing on his face. “This is interesting. How could I ever let you go to Morris?”

“Does Ms. Leach have a Twitter or something? I want her to start fashion blog. Her outfits are so stylish, and I wonder what brand she’s wearing.”
“Girl, you read my mind! I couldn’t stop staring at her clothes while she was on stage. She really knows how to dress” “I’m really looking forward to the upcoming semester at Betrico University, I want to sit in on Ms. Leach’s classes” “I’m envious of the students in the Traditional Medicine Department.
People who passed by and saw Cherise were talking about her non–stop. But none of this could deter Cherise’s pace. Near the entrance to the parking lot, by the fountain. There was no one around. Only a familiar figure stood there. This figure made Cherise stop in her tracks,
She came to a halt, quietly standing there, gazing at the tall, imposing figure ahead. Her uainil revisited all the things the man had done for her recently, She smiled softly.

However, all she fell from him was care, tenderness, and an indescribable sense of security.

Cherise gave a shy smile as their eyes met. At that moment, it felt like all the darkness was left behind. Since they met, the chill of winter seemed to have melted away, leaving only warm sunshine.
In the next moment, Cherise stepped forward, about to spread her arms. Her slender waist was pulled forward by Morris’s hand, her whole body pressed against his warm and firm chest.
Then, his deep voice resonated from his chest into Cherise’s ear. Can I hold you for a while?”
Cherise gave a soft laugh. “Okay.” Her arms naturally draped around Morris’s strong waist.
Just like that, with the fountain continuously bubbling behind them, the two stood embraced as if time had stopped.
In the distance, music started playing from the campus radio. It was an old song.
“I still remember this hug, and it was incredibly beautiful. Love is as heavy as a thousand pounds, heavier than endless railways. Your clumsy, rough hands can still mend my skin. Maybe only a lifetime of beauty is worthy of a pinky promise.”
Leo was hiding in the bushes, sobbing uncontrollably. Beside him, Steven shook his head in disapproval, took out his phone, and captured this beautiful moment.
