Being followed by the Dark Web Division didn’t really affect Cherise much. Soon, she arrived at the neighborhood where Xenia’s studio was.
Xenia’s studio only had her working there, so she chose to set its address at Uptown International.
Uptown International was a high–end apartment complex, although it couldn’t quite compare to Glenshire Gardens. But even in the prime area of tightly–packed Betrico, it’s considered prestigious.
Xenia lived on the 30th floor of Building A at Uptown International. Cherise drove her car straight to the underground Level 1 parking, then took the elevator from there.
The elevator stopped at the first–floor lobby. The doors slowly opened.
Cherise paused for a moment, surprised. Outside the elevator stood a man who looked strikingly similar to Morris. He was tall and muscular, with well–defined, handsome features.
He resembled Morris, by with a hint of roguishness that Morris didn’t have; Morris radiated more of an air of integrity. Cherise thought that Morris was definitely more handsome.
The man was also clearly amazed by Cherise’s stunning appearance in the elevator.
He considered himself well–versed in the beautiful girls of Betrico, surrounded by countless debutantes, but none compared to the one before him.
Her delicate face and perfect figure, accentuated by a tight black dress, were both pure and alluring.
He hesitated for a moment before stepping into the elevator.
Cherise noticed at once when he stepped inside that the man was missing his right arm. She noticed him holding a briefcase in his left hand and calmly asked, “Which floor?”
The man chuckled softly, glancing sideways at Cherise’s face. “32 thanks.”
Cherise pressed the button for the 32nd floor and casually said, “You’re welcome.”
The elevator moved up slowly, and in the quiet space, even the faint sound of breathing could be heard.
Before long, they arrived at the 30th floor. Cherise walked out calmly.
The man in the elevator watched as Cherise disappeared from view, a mischievous smile on his lips. “Well, an interesting
woman.”
When they reached the 32nd floor, the man stepped out. A man in a black suit was waiting by the elevate. Seeing the man step out, he nodded respectfully. “Mr. Joseph Chivers.”
The man from the elevator was Joseph, and the one waiting was his assistant, Roger.
Joseph saw Roger and asked coldly, “Is everything arranged?”
Roger replied “erything is arranged. They’re under the Ghost Hand’s command,”
Joseph nodded and said, “Don’t go too far, and leave someone alive and bring him to Bergen Club. With that he waved Roger away.
Roger responded with a “Yes,” and lelt

The large house was now empty except for Joseph. He walked to the mirror and took off his clothes.
His strong, muscular upper body had only a left hand; on the right was just a bare shoulder.
The next moment, he punched the mirror hard with his left hand. The once flawless mirror now had countless cracks.

Blood instantly flowed on the back of his hand, but he didn’t seem to feel any pain and remained silent. Only his deep, dark eyes were filled with an intense bloodlust.
As soon as Cherise entered Xenia’s home, she saw Xenia standing on a scale, crying loudly. I can’t believe I’ve gained another six pounds. I swear, if I order spicy hot pot delivery again, I’ll slap myself! My dress! Cherise, I’m sorry!”
Cherise, her ears hurting from Xenia’s cries, walked straight to the dress on the mannequin.
It was a dress that matched the main theme of Xenia’s designs. Her favorite Lolita–style cupcake dress in light pink with a
tiered skirt like a cake. It was youthful, but not really Cherise’s style.
Cherise looked at the dress, then at Xenia, and sighed, “Oh well. Then, she picked up the scissors, needle, and thread, and began to carefully modify it.

Xenia looked surprised and asked, “Cherise, really? Can I?”
