“Which lady reserved it? Did she pay up?” Weldon cut in, his tone sharp.
Lyle just shook his head, at a loss for words.
“No cash, no car,” Weldon proclaimed, his voice filling the room
“But–Lyle started to say, only to be steamrolled by Weldon.
“What’s the ‘but‘ for? Ms. Lightfoot’s a VIP here. She’s bought more cars than you’ve got suits. Get the paperwork rolling for Ms. Lightfoot, Weldon haiked.

Upon seeing Dora, Weldon switched gears, going all out with the brown–nosing. “Oh, you, Ms. Xenakis, of course, no… no problem at all. What brings you here in person?”
“I wouldn’t have known business was done this way if I hadn’t shown up. We were the ones who spotted this car first,” Dora said, her voice unwavering.
“Yes, you should own it,” Weldon agreed, nodding furiously with beads of sweat dotting his brow.
“Who are you? I’m taking this car. End of story,” Ruby insisted, still full of himself.
Just then, a middle–aged man with a round belly hurried over. It was Blake Sharpe, the founder of Parallel Auto.
“Ah, Ms. Xenakis, I’m so sorry for the delay. Which car do you have your eye on? I’ll make sure it’s delivered straight to GlobalVision Group. No need for you to trouble yourself, Blake said, his voice laced with regret.
As Dora filled Blake in on what had transpired, Blake’s anger ignited. He turned to Weldon and snapped, “You’re fired. Get lost.”
Having ticked off Dora from GlobalVision Group, Weldon knew the game was up and stopped his futile resistance..
However, Ruby, realizing Dora was the CEO of GlobalVision Group, had a lightbulb moment and hastily tugged Shirley to
leave.
“Whoa, whoa, Ruby, what’s the rush?” Shirley asked, looking bewildered.
Ruby explained, “Don’t you know who that woman next to your sister is?”
“Who?” Shirley replied, her innocence shining through,
Ruby sighed and said, “You’re just too naive and too sheltered. That’s Dora, the executive president of ClobalVision Group. Your sister’s not as simple as you think.”

After purchase, Cherise and Dora headed to dine at Mondial Regalia, a renowned seven–star chain in Clusta, which was more than just a place to stay–it was a hub for entertainment, leisure, and top–notch dining. Its culinary offerings consistently topped the global Mich restaurant rankings.
Nestled on the 90th floor of the Mondial Regalia building, the restaurant offered a corner window seat that Dora had reserved.
From their vantage point, the summer night skyline of Betrico was a dazzling display of twinkling stars and city lights. Yet, it was Cherise’s radiance that truly stole the show.
As she entered, Cherise urned heads, drawing the admiring glances of billionaires, nobles, CEOs, and intellectuals, including Morris, who was dining in another corner.
He had come to Mondial Regalia for an afternoon cross–border shareholder meeting, and with dinnertime rolling around, he decided to grab a bite, only to bump into Cherise unexpectedly.
