Outside Glenshire Gardens, Andy, dressed in a sharp navy suit, leaned against a Bentley, drawing attention with his refined charm. His eyes were glued to the entrance, filled with anticipation, as if he were waiting for someone truly special
Standing there, Andy couldn’t help but wonder how Cherise could afford to live in such a wealthy area.
When a tall, elegant figure appeared at the entrance, Andy released the breath he’d been holding. He hurried to Cherise, captivated by her beauty again
Cherise wore a pale yellow floral dress that brushed her ankles, enhancing her radiant skin. The dress moved with the breeze, its V–neck highlighting her elegant neck and the fitted waist accentuating her slim figure.
A long braid hung over her shoulder, giving her a sweet, innocent appearance. She wore the dress with effortless elegance, keeping it from seeming garish.
“Cherise, good to see you again. Let’s head out; Grandpa and everyone are waiting. Andy said, beaming.
“Sure, let’s go.” Cherise responded, her voice neutral
They got into the Bentley, and as they drove off. Morris watched from his Rolls–Royce.
She looks stunning today, but the man by her side is out of place Morris mused.
Leo, behind the wheel, felt a pang
of unease. Is Mr. Chivers losing his chance with Ms. Leach? he wondered.
“Check who owns that car and who that man is, Morris commanded, his voice cold.
“Right away,” Leo said, refocusing
Soon, Leo reported back. “Mr. Chivers, that car belongs to the Leach family. The man is Andy Leach, son of the family’s eldest branch”
“Interesting. Andy and Cherise are both Leaches. Look more into Cherise’s ties to the family. Morris said, his curiosity aroused.
He looked out at Glenshire Gardens, lowered the window, lit a cigarette, and let the smoke disperse in the breeze.
After a short while, Leo updated him. “Mr. Chivers, Ms. Leach is the legitimate daughter of the Leach family head and his deceased wife Her mother, Claire Garcia, a war journalist, died in a conflict.
“Ms. Leach was raised in Saphira, a small town in Yasvissa, by her grandmother and returned to the Leach family after her grandmother’s passing not long ago. Andy was also in Saphira last month, probably to see her.”
“Interesting. Morris’s voice gentled at the information. As he reflected on their parallel pasts and Cherise’s fragile presence and reserved air, a sense of empathy stirred within him.
“Additionally, right after Ms. Leach’s mother passed, her father rurried Mandy from the Lewis family, who has a daughter. Shirley, known as a prodigy in Betrico,
“Shirley is engaged to Jeffrey, the Chambers heir. This union was arranged by Mrs. Chambers and the late Mrs. Leach, linking Ms. Cherise Leach to the Chambers family as well,” Leo explained, his gaze flicking to Morris with a hint of anxiety,
Jeffrey? He doesn’t deserve her,” Morris remarked, his piercing gaze hinting at a simmering resolve.
The remark made Leo uneasy, and he realized that Morris might be genuinely interested in Cherise.
