“Boys, tonight’s our lucky night!” the Crimson Gang members murmured in excitement. Their faces lit up with greedy anticipation. 

They did not care about Dustin or Irene. But they failed to notice the calm demeanor of the two sitting on the couch. Neither of them showed the slightest sign of fear. They were unnervingly composed. 

Dustin sat back and watched the unfolding scene with an air of detached amusement. 

“All right! No need to wait any longer. Let’s get this done,” said Aaron as he waved a hand dismissively. 

“Remember,” Pete said with a sinister grin, “cripple him, don’t kill him. Got it?” 

“Got it!” the men responded. Their malicious laughter filled the room as they approached Dustin. 

Dustin chuckled. 

The moment they got close, he sprang into action. In an instant, his energy surged and filled the room with an almost palpable force. 

Few people survived Dustin’s attack. 

Dustin struck with precision, and within seconds, the members lay immobile on the floor. They did not even get to scream before losing consciousness. 

The metallic scent of blood quickly filled the air and mingled with the silence that followed. 

Aaron and Pete were talking. They did not even notice what had happened until they heard the dull thuds. Both men froze in disbelief. 

It had taken Dustin less than three seconds to get this done. 

Every single one of Pete’s subordinates was sprawled on the floor and was unresponsive. 

“What the hell just happened?” Pete barked in confusion. For a moment, he thought it was some kind of prank. 

“Get up! All of you, get up!” he shouted as his anger rose. 

But no one responded. 

“Something’s wrong,” Aaron muttered with a pale face. 

Pete crouched down and turned one of his men over on the floor, The lifeless body stared

Their eyes were filled with terror when they turned to look at Dustin.

“Hands on your head! Get down on your knees. Now! Or I’ll shoot!” Pete barked. 

“Do it, or we’ll blow your brains out!” Phoebe said. She was feeling emboldened since there was a gun involved. 

Dustin remained unfazed. He began walking toward them with a soft smile on his face. 

“Stop right there!” Their voices cracked with fear. 

“You’re asking for it!” Pete snapped and pulled the trigger. 

What happened next defied all logic. 

Dustin raised his hand to catch the bullet in midair. He then opened his palm and dropped the bullet to the floor like it was nothing.
