Love StoryS–Chapter 1
Love Story5–Chapter 1
At 10 pm, the heavy rain shrouded the entire city in a veil of water,
And in my food delivery group chat, everyone was wrapping up for the day too. Nobody likes delivering food in a downpour.
Ding!” My phone beeped with a notification of a new delivery order. Due to the inclement weather, the delivery fee had been multiplied by ten by the buyer,
I couldn’t resist the temptation so I abandoned the idea of going home.
I was driving normally at the intersection when, out of nowhere, a Ferrari sped through a red light and sent me flying a few meters away.
The excruciating pain hit me, but I somehow managed to keep my spirits up and didn’t pass out immediately.
Before losing consciousness, I caught a glimpse of a pair of high heels, and the driver’s manicured fingers poking my face.
A calm voice echoed in my ears, “You’re not dead, are you? I’ll compensate you. Talk to my
driver for follow–ups.”
She seemed so aloof, as if hitting me was no different from hitting a cat or a dog to her.
The cold rain poured down on me, diluting the blood flowing from my wounds. Instinctively, I dialed Kris’s number tremblingly.
He said he was working hard for our life and had to work overtime tonight. I promised to make him a late–night snack.
At this hour, I wonder if he’s worried about me.
But his phone kept ringing without an answer, and I couldn’t reach him even when I was being loaded onto the ambulance.
Maybe he was busy with something. I still didn’t give up calling him while I was in the ambulance.

I waited to tell him I was fine and that the shark was in the trigy, ready for him when he
got home
But when I tried calling him again, all I heard was a proxy toxe, “The number you dialed is powered off”
I didn’t want to entertain any other possibilities and closed my eyes in paine
The medical staff on the ambulance were conducting prokumary checks on my injuries. I Vaguely felt a tightness in my chest, overwhelmed by the severe pain in my abdomen
Just before I lost consciousness, I heard the doctor frantically shout, “Signs of a miscarriage!”
When I woke up again, I was lying on a hospital bed, writing in pain.
The doctor beside my bed had a stern expression, “Ms. Winne, the car accident caused you to miscarry. If you don’t have a dilation and curettage soon, your life will be in danger.”
“What? A miscarriage?”
I was stunned, staring wide–eyed. I’d been delivering food all this time and hadn’t even realized I was pregnant.
“Doctor, is there any chance my baby can be saved?”
