Chapter 10
I looked at Wesley, a mocking smile on my face.
“Wesley, have I been too kind to you, making you think I’m a fool?”
Wesley froze, then his expression twisted in anger as if something clicked. He pointed at
- e.
e, furious.
“Nora, did you know from the beginning? Was all this a trap you set up?”
Camilla dropped her pretense entirely and clung to Wesley’s arm.
“Wesley, I told you this bitch wasn’t some saint. She deliberately set you up to divorce me.
She’s a venomous woman!”
I let out a cold laugh, fixing my gaze on her.
“No matter what I’ve done, it’s still better than seducing someone else’s husband.”
“Don’t spout nonsense! Wesley is my lawful husband! If it weren’t for your schemes, he would never have divorced me. You’re the one to blame for all of this!” Camilla’s temper
flared, her voice shrill and out of control.
Wesley’s face darkened.
“So, your family’s demolition, the compensation of ten million per person–were all those just lies you made up?”
Crossing my arms, I stood tall in my heels, looking down at the two of them with disdain.
“What do you think?”
Wesley’s anger exploded at my nonchalant attitude.
“Nora, you liar! How dare you set me up!”
My smile disappeared, and my tone turned icy.

“Wesley, what about when you two schemed against me? When you carried on behind my back? When you made me a fool–did you ever think this day would come?”
Wesley’s expression twisted with fury before it shifted into a mocking smirk.
“You think tricking us into getting divorced is revenge? Camilla and I can get remarried anytime. But you–don’t forget, I still own 50% of your apartment. Think you can get rid of
me? Not a chance.”
Exactly!” Camilla chimed in, her voice dripping with smugness. “Wesley has put in so much effort, caring for you all these years. He deserves compensation. Consider the apartment as his reward, or we won’t let you off so easily.”
I chuckled at their shamelessness.
“Do you really think that with a 50,000 dollars down payment, you can claim ownership of
my 5–million–dollars property? You must think I’m an idiot.”
Wesley’s face darkened further when I didn’t back down.
“If that’s how you want to play it, then there’s nothing left to talk about. I’ll take my 50% to
court if I have to. Worst case, we split it evenly. And unlike you, I still have a wife and an
unborn child.”
As he finished, Wesley pulled Camilla closer, wrapping an arm around her waist in a show
of triumph. He even glanced at me with a smug, provocative look.
I maintained my faint smile and said calmly, “Oh, really?”
Just then, a commanding voice sounded from the doorway.
“Excuse me, is Mr. Wesley here? You’re under investigation for theft. Please come with us.”
Wesley froze in place, stunned, as two uniformed officers walked into the room.
“Officers, you must have the wrong person! I’m an upstanding citizen–how could I possibly
be involved in theft?” he stammered.
One of the officers held up a report.

“You’re accused of stealing jewelry from Ms. Nora. The stolen goods are valued at 500,000
dollars, and the evidence is irrefutable. Please cooperate and come with us.”
Wesley stared at the officer in disbelief, then slowly turned to look at me.
“Nora, you set me up?”
I stepped forward, grabbed Camilla’s wrist, and raised it for everyone to see.
Does this look familiar?” I asked, pointing to the bracelet on her wrist.
It was the platinum and diamond bracelet Wesley had given her on her birthday–worth
over 100,000 dollars.
Wesley stood frozen, completely dumbfounded.
I patted his shoulder and smiled.
“Perhaps you didn’t know, but every piece of luxury jewelry has a unique serial number. A quick check reveals everything–purchase records, ownership, and more.”
