Love Story1–Chapter 1
I stared at the photo, trembling uncontrollably.
The man’s shirt sleeves were rolled up, revealing strong forearms and slender fingers.
He held a woman in a backless red dress, their kiss fiery and passionate.
On the man’s wrist was a unique tattoo with two letters hidden within it.
It was unmistakably the initials of my name–Sabrina Clark.
This photo laid it bare.
Ruben had cheated.
I bit down hard on my lip, forcing myself to stay calm. Just then, my phone rang.
It was an unfamiliar number.
“Did you see the photo?”
A lazy, sultry voice drifted from the other end.
Clenching my fists, I asked hoarsely, “Who are you?”
The woman laughed softly, almost mockingly.
“Isn’t it obvious? I’m his lover. Can’t handle this little detail? Meet me at the “Today‘ café at 2 p.m., and I’ll show you something even more thrilling.”
Before I could respond, the call ended.
I collapsed onto the sofa, clutching my phone helplessly.
Just yesterday, I had been basking in the joy of new life.
My husband had solemnly promised to cherish and protect me.

And today, without any warning, I had stumbled upon evidence of his betrayal.
A chill spread across my face. When I reached up, I realized tears were streaming down my cheeks.
The phone buzzed again–it was a video message from Ruben.
Panicked, I wiped my tears and accepted the call.
Darling, I’ve got a meeting this afternoon, but I’m missing you so much right now,”
His deep, gentle voice carried through, accompanied by his familiar warm smile.
Seven years of marriage, and Ruben had always been meticulous about keeping me
informed.
“What’s wrong? Are you not feeling well? Your eyes look a bit red–do you want me to come
home?”
He quickly noticed my unusual demeanor, concern clouding his face.
Forcing a smile, I mumbled a few excuses to reassure him.
On the surface, I played along with his sweet words, but inside, I felt nothing.
It was like watching a performance.
The roses he sent still sat on the table, but their vibrant color seemed to have faded, just like his love in my heart.
That afternoon, I left the house early and arrived at the café.
As I waited for the woman to appear, a wave of bitterness surged within me.
Ruben and I had met in high school, where we were seatmates for two years.
He was a pale–skinned boy who always teased me by tugging on my hair, begging to copy my homework.
Then he’d hand me a few candies, his ears turning crimson.

Love Story1 Chapter 1
Though Ruben didn’t do well academically, he’d suddenly turned over a new leaf, working tirelessly so we could attend the same college.
I still remember the day out acceptance letters arrived–Ruben hugged me tightly, choking back tears as he said, “I did it.”
The 1.8–meter tall boy had cried like a child.
We entered the same university, fell in love, and stayed in this city after graduation to build
Nife together.
No matter how late 1 worked, he always picked me up.
When he started his own business, I supported him with everything I had.
Life gradually improved, and we walked into marriage together, our love deepening over
time.
Until yesterday, I was still immersed in happiness, oblivious to the storm brewing on the
horizon.
A woman sat down in front of me, breaking my thoughts.
I looked up.
She was stunning–her features delicate, her makeup flawless, her aura bold. She was like a rose with thorns.
“My name is Sofia Walker,” she said, her tone steady and composed, her gaze laced with
amusement.
I took a deep breath.
Sofia smiled faintly, pulling out a stack of items from her bag and placing them before me.
“I asked you here to show you just how sweet Ruben and I are together.”
The moment I saw the pile, my blood rushed to my head, and my entire body started to
shake.
