Chapter 30 

“Tiffany,” Vincent called out to her gently. “Is there anything you need?” 

Tiffany stood up straight. She couldn’t help but feel a little awkward. “I’m looking for Kelly…” 

“Why are you looking for her?” Vincent asked quickly. 

Raising an eyebrow, Charles shot him a thoughtful glance. 

Tiffany thought that it would not matter who she borrowed the money from. After some hesitation, she said, “Mr. Lewis, I wanted to borrow some money from you.” 

“How much do you need?” 

“500 dollars.” 

“How should I give it to you?” Without asking more, Vincent agreed readily. 

Tiffany was a shy woman, so naturally, she was embarrassed. “Any way is fine for me.” 

Grabbing his phone, Vincent pressed a few buttons. Tiffany’s phone then beeped. He said, “I’ve transferred the money to you.” 

“Thank you, Mr. Lewis.” 

“You’re welcome.” Vincent looked indifferent. “Let me know if you need more.” 

Tiffany didn’t know what to say to that. She could only thank him again. Then, she left to pay the bill. Watching her retreating figure, Vincent’s eyes darkened. No one could tell what he was thinking. Charles studied him for a moment. He suddenly said, “I find this shy assistant of yours quite interesting.” 

Vincent didn’t respond to him. He merely took his glass of juice and sipped on it to relieve his dry throat. “If you don’t mind, I’d like to go after her.” Charles reached an arm over with a mischievous look. He had a devilish grin on his face. 

Glaring at him, Vincent smirked. But his voice was cold and deep. “If you dare to hit on anyone in my company, I’ll make sure you can never sleep with anyone for the rest of your life.” 

That shut Charles up. 

After the meal, Vincent, Kelly, Charles, and Mandy headed out of the restaurant. 

Kelly was holding Vincent’s arm. When the car arrived, she waved at Mandy, “See you again, Ms. Stewart.” Mandy rolled her eyes at Kelly, not bothering to pay her any respect at all. “Who would want to see you again?” 

Speechless, Kelly put on an awkward but polite smile. Not only was she not angry at how Mandy was treating her, but she also felt satisfied with herself. 

Mandy’s hatred toward her was all because of Vincent. It showed that this excellent man was hers now. Kelly had never felt so proud and satisfied before. 

As Mandy watched Vincent’s car drive away, she got charles‘ car as well. “Charles, hurry! Let’s follow 

their car!” 

Charles looked confused. “What do you want?”

“Just follow them!” Mandy urged him. “I want to see if that woman actually lives with Vincent!” 

Charles felt helpless. “Even Vincent himself has admitted it. Why won’t you believe it?” 

“I won’t believe anything unless I see it with my own eyes!” Mandy had a determined look. “I will never believe that Vincent’s taste in women is so bad that he would fall for someone like Kelly!” 

To be honest, Charles was puzzled as well. Judging from Vincent’s behavior, he hadn’t seemed to be very interested in Kelly. Why would he let her be his girlfriend? Could he actually be acting? 

Charles‘ curiosity was piqued. So, he hit the gas and sped off, closely following Vincent’s car. 

In Vincent’s car, Alex said, “Mr. Lewis, there’s a car following us.” 

When Kelly heard that, she turned and glanced behind. “It looks like it’s Mr. Stewart’s car. Perhaps Ms. Stewart still doesn’t believe that we’re dating. She might be following us to find out the truth.”
