Eric became more carried away. “I’ve seen Mr. Lewis before. He looks like he’s only in his early 30s. I heard that he built Lewis Group from scratch. Not only is he young and handsome, but he’s extremely capable as well.
“I also heard that he has always been single. Since you have good looks, you might just be able to catch his eye if you perform well.”
Teresa gave him a light smack. “What nonsense!”
“How’s that nonsense? Both of them are single. If he happens to take a liking to Tiff, your family would be
in luck.”
Tiffany listened to him in silence. After Eric was done talking, she finally asked, “Eric, you didn’t ask to meet me today to talk about this, right?”
Eric stopped talking. He let out an awkward laugh before he said, “I heard that Lewis Group is looking for more business partners. It happens to align with our company’s new project.
“Tiff, can you help me out by securing an opportunity for us?”
Tiffany shook her head. “You thought too highly of me I told you, I’m just an intern. I have no standing in the company.”
“Tiff, don’t turn me down just yet. If I could secure a business partnership with Lewis Group, I would get promoted this time. I’ll even receive a huge bonus.”

As Eric spoke, he held Teresa’s hand. “Your sister has been married to me for many years, but I haven’t given her a good life. Instead, she’s had to suffer with me for so long.
“Once I get promoted, I plan to ask her to become a full–time housewife instead of running that street stall. She’s worked so hard for so many years. It’s time for her to get some rest.”
“Eric, I’m sorry, but I can’t help you.” Although Tiffany was a soft person, she knew how to separate personal matters from her work.
She couldn’t make any decisions in the company. Even if she could, she couldn’t promise Eric anything
Eric became impatient when he heard her response, but he didn’t say anything else.
After the meal, Eric said that they had to take care of something at home and left with Teresa.
Just as Tiffany was about to leave too, the waiter brought the receipt over. “Miss, your total is 2500 dollars. Would you like to pay the bill now?”
Tiffany was stunned. “Didn’t my brother–in–law pay for this?”
The waiter shook his head.
Tiffany pulled her phone out. There were only a few hundred dollars in her bank account. She took two of her savings cards. But even combining all of that, she was still 500 dollars short.
She felt helpless. Besides, 500 dollars was no small sum for her.

The waiter was speechless. But he didn’t make things difficult for her. He had no power to make any decisions, so he called the manager over.

Hearing that nickname, Tiffany’s face turned red.
Vincent then looked over. When his dark eyes landed on Tiffany’s face, they became soft and gentle.
