Chapter 16
After finishing everything, Lukas came out of the shower.
He had a towel around his waist, revealing his lean and well it upper body with clear eight pack abs, He had the kind of body that looked stylish when clothed and seductive
when unclothed.
I caught sight of the water droplets on his abs, cascading down and disappearing into the towel. I blushed and quickly looked away, too embarrassed to continue staring.
Lukas walked over and stood beside me, asking, “Is everything done?”
I lowered my head like a quail. “Yes, it’s done!”
Lukas continued, “Are you satisfied with the gift I gave you?”
I hurriedly nodded, “Yes! Very much. It’s very useful. Thank you very much!”
Lukas hummed in satisfaction. “Well then, let’s sleep!”
I looked up in surprise and confusion. We technically haven’t fulfilled our marital duties properly, especially with me coming out as a virgin. I blushed, remembering the scene last night, and tried to speak, but I only stammered. “Ah!”
Lukas seemed to see through my thoughts and lightly caressed my cheek, saying calmly, “Don’t worry, I won’t touch you until you’ve had your revenge. For now, we’ll just sleep.”
I immediately lowered my head again, my face too red to look at him.
Lukas found my reaction particularly amusing. Suddenly, he bent down, his full
hormone–laden aura surrounding me as he teased, “What? Are you looking forward to
fulfilling it?”
I stammered. “I’m not!”
Lukas chuckled lightly, turned around, and walked to the bed, “Take a shower and go to
sleep!”

He had noticed that he slept really well when he is hugging this woman!
Before, he could only sleep for five hours a night, mostly relying on sleeping pills.
After taking a shower, I climbed into the bed, bringing the blanket with me as I was pulled into an embrace by Lukas.
The next morning, when I left the room, I saw Lukas, just like yesterday, reading financial
news.
I approached him, feeling uneasy. “Did you…sleep well last night?”
Lukas glanced at me, smiling, “Better than you think!”
I relaxed at his answer, blushed from being flattered, and fell silent.
After breakfast, Lukas offered to drive me to the company, but I refused. “I’m not going to the company today!”
Lukas raised an eyebrow but didn’t ask further, then he left for work.
Not long after Lukas left, I received a screenshot message from my close friend, with the accompanying text: “Here’s what you wanted!”
The screenshot was taken at 7:30 last night. It showed Bella using Sophia’s scanned design draft to submit an entry to the Century Jewelry Competition.
At 8:30 in the morning, before most companies‘ work hours, a shocking revelation appeared
online.
SHOCKING NEWS: CENTURY JEWELRY COMPETITION HOSTED BY STRAKOVSKI JEWELRY HAD THE EXACT SAME ENTRY AS THE STARLIGHT JEWELRY COMPETITION.
The judges quickly condemned it. “Plagiarism is shameful. This kind of designer should be expelled from the jewelry industry and not tarnish this pure field! They stated.
This news was rapidly shared, and within ten minutes, it reached an unprecedented level of popularity.
Comments below the post were overwhelmingly negative, calling me a plagiarist and telling me to leave the jewelry industry, saying I didn’t deserve to be a designer.
Some even went as far as to curse my ancestors.
As this news continued to spread, the designer of the identical work was also exposed.
It was Trifleming Jewelry’s Sophia and Bella!
Lolla had won numerous awards, and her talent was evident to all. As a result, the online criticism was mostly one sided.
The most popular hashtags were:
#Sophia The Plagiarist
#The Plagiarist Deserves Death
#Sophia Apologize To Bella
I sat on the hotel sofa, expressionless, looking at the online attacks against me as if they were not about me at all.
I waited silently for the situation to escalate.
At nine o’clock, another hashtag made it to the top of the trending list.
#Bella Sues Sophia
In her legal letter, Bella claimed that Sophia was her half–sister, and despite feeling heartbroken about my actions, they were still family. As long as I apologized to the public for the plagiarism, admitted to copying her designs, apologized to the Century Jewelry Competition and the Starlight Jewelry Competition officials, and voluntarily gave up my competition qualifications, she would forgive me and withdraw the lawsuit.
Comments below the trending hashtag praised Bella for her soft–heartedness and for valuing family ties while berating me for not deserving to be a human being.
