Chapter17
“Jonathan, what’s going on with you? Isabella made a mistake, and you gave her a lesson, fine. But do you really love Anna that much?”
“Yeah, Anna’s just a woman, isn’t she? With your status now, what woman can’t you have?”
“She left, so let her go. Are you really going to keep chasing her? You should show her that without her, you many other women and live even better. That way,
cane
she’ll come
crawling back to you.”
“Yeah, and if nothing else, just find a few girls who look like Anna and have them learn from her. It’ll be the same!”
The brothers casually tried to comfort him.
Over the years, they had witnessed Jonathan’s deep feelings for Anna and thought it was a bit pointless.
They were surrounded by women, but Jonathan was different.
Was Anna really that great?
However, when this question was raised, it showed that they, too, had started to be tempted by this way of life.
There had been countless times when they had envied the relationship between Jonathan and
Anna, even feeling jealous.
Because they wore the title of playboys, and would never meet a truly sincere woman. They had long since forgotten how to treat people with genuine feelings.
To them, women were nothing but playthings.
But Jonathan was the odd one out among them.
Although they had a goouonship with him, they secretly dreamed of bringing him down
to their level, of turning him into someone like them.
Jonathan accepting Isabella meant that he had finally become just like them.
They didn’t understand
at he was still so sad and regretful about.
She was just a woman. What was so special about her?
But when Jonathan heard their dismissive remarks about Anna, rage surged in his chest. He grabbed the nearest bottle and started smashing it over their heads, one by one.
He didn’t hold back. No one in the room came out unscathed.
Chantern
Even though he had drunk a lot, his fists and kicks were still sharp, quick, and precise.
Those who tried to step in and stop him ended up with bruised faces.
Before long, the room was filled with the bodies of men lying on the floor.
“Anna is my life! If I hear anyone speak ill of her again, watch out for your families behind. you! I will never let you off!” Jonathan said coldly
The room immediately fell into complete silence Everyone was frozen, not daring to move an inch.
This was the first time they had seen him this angry.
They were all as timid as sparrows now.
After a long while, the oppressive atmosphere only began to ease when Jonathan started drinking again.
A man, still holding onto his pride, suppressed his anger and stepped outside to call the bar
manager.
“See this woman in the photo? Find a few who look like her, the closer the better. Get them here as soon as possible!”
The man pointed coldly at the photo of Anna on his phone.
* He also sent the manager a copy of the photo.
The bar had connections with several high–end clubs in the city, so it wasn’t hard to arrange for a few girls to serve the influential clients.
Not long after, a girl who resembled Anna by about fifty percent knocked on the private room
door.
“Excuse me… are you the ones who ordered service?”
She hesitantly spoke as she pushed a cart filled with drinks and snacks into the room.
When the door opened, the others in the room were surprised–this girl did look a bit like
Anna.
She was just a bit younger, more innocent–looking.
The men exchanged glances and gestured for the girl to go sit by Jonathan.
They smiled confidently, not thinking Jonathan would refuse this woman.
“Sir… is this the drink you ordered?”
The girl stood in front of Jonathan, gently calling out to him.
