Chapter16
But Jonathan had no intention of giving her that chance.
He had already done many things to hurt Anna.
If he still wanted to win Anna back, this child could never be allowed to stay!
Once it was born, there would be no hope left for him and Anna.
Jonathan hardened his heart and directly ordered the bodyguards to drag Isabella to the hospital.
Isabella struggled and resisted countless times, but still couldn’t overpower the bodyguards and ended up lying on the cold operating table.
The anesthesia was administered, and she gradually lost control of her limbs. Her eyelids uncontrollably closed.
When she woke up again, her stomach was empty. There had once been a formed child there!
The pain in her abdomen pulled at her, and even moving a little felt excruciatingly difficult.
The child… it was really gone!
Isabella lay in despair on the hospital bed, with bodyguards still watching over her, waiting for her to apologize to Anna.
Not long after, Jonathan saw the apology video that Isabella had posted online.
He pulled the corners of his lips into a satisfied smirk but couldn’t bring himself to laugh.
What use was an apology?
It couldn’t bring Anna back.
To this day, he still hadn’t found any trace of Anna.
She seemed to have disappeared without a trace, as though she had never existed.
If it weren’t for the traces of her existence still left online, Jonathan might have almost
believed that she had been nothing more than a dream.
“If only I hadn’t gone to see Isabella the day Anna left… maybe things wouldn’t have turned out like this.”
“If only I had stayed true to myself and not been tempted by Isabella…”
“If only…”
Jonathan sat in the private room of a bar, frustrated, drinking bottle after bottle.
He didn’t know how long it had been since he had a good night’s sleep.
The scent of Anna that had once filled their home was growing fainter, to the point that he could barely stand to be there.
But despite drinking countless bottles of liquor, he wasn’t drunk. If anything, he was even more sober.
He knew, with absolute clarity, that she wasn’t there with him anymore.
“Heh.” Jonathan, holding the bottle, gave a bitter laugh.
“Anna, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have drunk… I knew you hated the smell of alcohol on me…”
“Come out… will you scold me? Please, if you appear in front of me, I won’t drink anymore.”
He acted like a childish, unreasonable brat.
A few of his friends heard Jonathan was here, so they called in a group of young, beautiful girls.
“You girls, who can comfort–President Jonathan, you’ll have glory and wealth in the future!”
The man in the wine–red shirt whispered.
The ten girls nodded eagerly and entered in a line, each sitting closer to Jonathan.
“Mr. Jonathan…”
A beautiful girl sat on Jonathan’s left, her slender fingers like serpents, skillfully trying to slip
into his clothes.
“Get lost!”
His face turned as dark as the bottom of a pot, and he grabbed a bottle of wine, smashing it over the beautiful girl’s head.
Blood immediately started flowing.
The girl screamed but was kicked away by Jonathan in a fit of irritation.
“Who gave you the guts, disgusting thing, get out of here!”
In an instant, all the girls in the room scattered like birds flying away in panic.
None of them dared to stay.
After all, it was better to be touched outside than to end up with a bloody head here without gaining anything.
Jonathan’s brow was furrowed with irritation. He rubbed his forehead and opened another bottle of wine, drinking directly from the bottle.
His friends exchanged glances, letting out sighs one after another.
