Luna still hadn’t woken up. It had been hours–too many hours.
1st by her bedside, brushing her hair with my fingers, her small frame pale against the white sheets Machines beeped steadily are her, a harsh reminder the was still here, just… not here.
A doctor finally came in, clipboard in hand, face unreadable

He gave a soft sigh. “Mrs Moore, your daughter is in a coma.”

My legs nearly gave out, but i steadied myself on the edge of the bed.
“We’ll moniter her closely. Right now, it’s best to keep talking to her. Stay close. She may still hear you.”
I nodded slowly, not trusting myself to speak. My eyes drifted back to Luna, willing her to move, blink, something but she didn’t.

He walked in like a stranger, glanced at Luna, and robbed his face with one hand. “I didn’t know it would be this serious,” he muttered.

“Charlotte,” he muttered. Then he answered, stepping outside without a word.

“That’s it?” i demanded. “You see our daughter unconscious for five minutes and leave again?”
He spun around “Don’t start.
“But what? What changed, Will?” I was shaking, “What did I do that made you treat your own daughter like she doesn’t exist?”
“You lied to me,” be said flatly.

Inside, I expected to find Will. Maybe both of them. But only charlotte was there, standing near the stairs with a box in her hands
