“Call an ambulance.”
A tall figure rushed over like a hurricane, lifting her up and running out.
“Mr. Heathcliff…”

She grabbed the man’s lapel, wanting to say something, but her vision soon blacked out, and she fainted in
his arms.
In the banquet hall, everyone’s gaze shifted over and they began to watch the scene.
“Conrad, where are you going?”
Wilhelmina stomped her feet in anger, desperately praying that if the child was still alive, that wicked woman would miscarry.
She fell so hard and was bleeding. I refuse to believe the child would survive.
Christopher tightened his grip on the wine glass as a deep and indescribable expression grew in his eyes.
At the hospital, Angela remained unconscious for a long time before waking up.
As she opened her eyes, Conrad’s handsome and icy face gradually came into focus.
She instinctively shrank back, quickly raising her hand to touch her abdomen. “Is the baby okay?”
Conrad’s gaze carried a hint of gloom.
Fortunately, the child was fine. The bleeding was due to Angela’s leg being cut by shards of glass.
Seemed like his child was destined to be stronger than ordinary people.
“Don’t you have any sense of safety? How can you fall while walking?”
If he hadn’t been there today, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Angela felt extremely wronged in her heart. “Someone tripped me. You can review the surveillance footage to see who it was, can’t you?”
Conrad had already sent someone to investigate the matter. However, there was an issue with the hotel’s surveillance system, and they couldn’t find any evidence.
“From now on, don’t participate in company events anymore. After work, stay at home obediently and don’t go anywhere.”
Angela felt a sense of grievance. After he interfered with what she could and couldn’t wear, now he wanted to restrict her personal freedom.
“I’m not your slave. I’m a free person. There’s only one person in this world who poses a threat to the child, and that’s your fiancée. You should take care of her and prevent her from becoming paranoid. Then, there won’t be any problems.”

He realized that this woman had grown a rebellious streak. With just a slight provocation, she would stand up against him.
“I will handle this matter. You, on the other hand, must follow my orders.”
His tone carried an air of dominance.
Angela gritted her teeth, thinking about her brother’s illness and the money she needed to buy his medicine every month. She then suppressed the urge to argue with Conrad.
However, it was impossible for her to comply with his unreasonable demands.
She had already made up her mind. She would give birth to the child and wouldn’t ask him for a penny. As for the money borrowed for her brother’s illness, she would find a way to repay it in the future. After all, her dignity was the most important thing.
When Conrad returned to the Heathcliff Residence, Wilhelmina was waiting for him in the hall.
She was eager to know about Angela’s condition.
Conrad had tightly sealed off all the information. Not a word was allowed to leak from the hospital.
“Conrad, is that woman okay?”
Before she could finish speaking, Conrad took a step forward. Grabbing her hair and yanking it hard, he caused her to scream in pain. “What are you doing? You’re hurting me!”
“If this matter has anything to do with you, I will immediately call off the engagement. From now on, don’t appear in front of me again.”
Conrad’s voice was icy as it carried a stern warning. He wouldn’t show mercy if she continued to act recklessly. Wilhelmina shivered, feeling more frightened as he became more concerned about Angela.
“Why do you care so much about Angela? You’ve never hurt me like this for any other woman before! Is she still pregnant? Did you lie about the abortion?”
Conrad firmly grasped the back of her head, his gaze like a sharp blade as it cut across her face. “Are you questioning me? If you want to die, just say it; I’ll grant your wish!”
