Stella was startled, with a pale tace on, she tollowed the driver and watched the latter lock on Lance’s door.
When the door opened, she hid behind a pillar like a thief and saw the driver entering the room. Then, she started wondering why Lance was meeting that driver. Did he find out that she abandoned Tara on purpose yesterday?
At that moment, Stella couldn’t think straight anymore. After all, if Lance really knew the truth, then her image would be destroyed. “Come in.” She entered the room after hearing Lance’s voice. Then, she saw him sitting on the couch while Stella was standing in the middle of the room, s quietly.
When Tara entered the room, Lance looked up at her slightly as she closed the door.
He hadn’t seen her for a day, and he noticed that she was wearing a winter uniform. The light blue attire made her look more delicate than a flower, and her skin was smooth like a crystal. When she looked back at him, her eyes looked beautiful
“Mr. Swain,” she greeted softly as she approached him.
Lance had never looked away from her, and he said solemanly, “We’ve looked into the matter yesterday.”
Tara never thought he would be that quick at all, so she was in disbelief when she heard that. For a moment, it felt like she was dreaming.
Then, she looked to the side and saw Stella, who was still sitting, Stella said while crying, “Tara, I… I didn’t mean to leave you outside the car yesterday.”
Tara was indifferent to Stella’s tears. “Stella, I heard what you said in the car. You told the driver to start driving while you looked right at me.”
Stella didn’t think Tara would hear her at all. Since the weather was bad outside, she didn’t even expect Tara to describe what happened in so much detail. So, Stella couldn’t help panicking at that moment.
