By the time Tara came to her senses, the card was already in her hand.
Jonah was now seated on the couch. He was wearing a black turtleneck and black slacks. His sharply defined features seemed as if they were carved from stone mill and poised. He looked so marvellous that it was hard to look away.
Tara forced her gaze away and looked down at the business card in her palm Jonah’s number was on it.
She didn’t low what to do with it. Rejecting it wasn’t really an option now that she’d taken it.
Technically, I’m not breaking the rules, right? It was never mentioned that I can’t take their business cards. We’d only be breaking the rules if we added their contact into privately,” she pondered.

Tara slipped the card into the pocket of her uniform and uttered, “Thank you for looking out for me, Mr. Pearson.”
She didn’t dare to say more. If she said too much, he might assume she was having thoughts she shouldn’t.

She was clearly accusing Tara of stealing the task and trying to get in Jonah’s good graces
Tara didn’t so much as glance Stellar’s way as she interrupted her “You should say that to yourself. You’ve been bere longer than I have, so you should know Mr. Pearson’s habits better than me. It was your job to clear the table on time. But when Mr. Pearson needed you, where were you?
