Chapter 58
Nicole clutched her phone with a death grip. Exposing everything that Jacob had done to her would be her final act of defiance against him. After she broke up with him, and they went their separate ways, she thought that she would have to silently swallow all the wrongs he had committed against her.
She had no idea that Jacob would stoop so low just to hurt her. She was completely disgusted by him at that moment. She must have been blinded by her love three years ago to get together with him just because be showed her the bare minimum of warmth and care. How laughable!
Meanwhile, Aaron studied Nicole carefully without a sound. He saw how she loved and loathed openly, how she was able to discard her lingering feelings so ruthlessly after malding the decision to do so. A near imperceptible emotion flickered in his eyes.
On the other hand, Daniel and Michelle’s fury refused to be extinguished as their anger mixed together with their heartbreak
Jacob broke free from Daniel’s clutches and dashed toward Nicole.
“I see that you’re well prepared, Nicole!” he roared like a man who had completely lost his mind. “How long have you been cooling up this plan behind the scenes
to frame me?
Aaron had reached the end of his patience. He refused to tolerate Jacob’s ridiculous behavior any longer. He grabbed Jacob’s wrist and snapped it clean in half in front of everyone present. The sound of bones cracking echoed loud and clear around the hall.
Cold sweat beaded rapidly across Jacob’s forehead. His face turned anuddy red as he let out a bloodcurdling scream of pain. Daniel and Michelle had witnessed the entire scene, but they didn’t dare step forward and could only suppress the fury in their hearts
It was impossible to ignore how Aaron’s voice had tumed incredibly sinister. “I guess you really do have a death wish, Jacob,” Kenneth and Heidi kept talding in deep breaths, but in the end, they were still unable to stop their tempers from exploding
“This is absurd!” Kenneth exclaimed, causing the atmosphere around them to quiet down in mere seconds.
He swept his gaze across the Escobars before saying, “Mr. Escobar, 1 had no idea you would educate your son in such a way. From this day forth, the Boyds and the Escobars will no longer work with one another. If anyone forms a partnership with the Escobars, you can forget about working with us as well!”
Kenneth’s words made it blatantly clear that he was leaving no avenue for the Escobars to survive. Boyd Corporation boasted an influential position in Silverwood. Not only that, but they had Aaron as a son–in–law! No one would dare to offend them since they held all the powerful cards in their hands now.
Daniel’s face had tumed as white as a sheet, and he found it difficult to even breathe. Jacob had truly ruined him! The fury he had been suppressing in his heart exploded in an instant. He couldn’t control himself anymore as he raised his hand and slapped Jacob hard across the face multiple times.
Jacob had to endure Nicole’s slap earlier, and now he was forced to endure Daniel’s slaps as well. His cheeks began to swell up like two cising loaves of bread, making him lookutterly pathetic.
What was worse was that his humiliation had been witnessed by so many onlookers. His reputation was in complete shambles, and he couldn’t even lift his head from the shame that was coursing througls him. There was no way that he could contine mingling with the other heirs of Silverwood’s elite circle.
Daniel yanlund Jacob with him to stand before Nicole. Noticing Aaron’s protective stance, Daniel didn’t dare to get too close to them. He forced Jacob to his knees and scolded, “Jacob, apologize to Ms. Boyd right now! And apologize to Mr. and Mrs. Boyd while you’re at it!”
However, Nicole’s expression remained passive, and she didn’t even spare a glance at Jacob. He was already being forced to grovel at her feet for her forgiveness, and yet she wasn’t moved in the slightest? Jacob clenched his fists and gritted his teeth.
