Devon did not know why the senior members of his family were so wary of the Mortimer family, but he did not have the courage to defy them.

“It seems I’ll have to visit the Aquila family myself and ask when I became their subordinate…” Duke Mortimer said coldly.

Devon’s face drained of all color.

If Duke really went to the Aquila family, he would surely be punished.

The Langley family wore odd expressions.

The truth was out.

Devon was the one who had lied. He claimed credit for what he did not do. If that was the case, who had managed to get Duke to work with David’s family?

Margot and the others could not help but look at Dustin.

“Even if you know him, you’re still a reject of the Wyatt family. You can’t do anything to me. The fight for Simone’s hand in marriage hasn’t ended. Just you wait!”

He turned around to leave but came face to face with the Hell Guard.

“Dustin, what are you trying to do?! Just try and hurt me, I dare you!” Devon stared at Dustin fearlessly.

He was a member of the Aquila family and had a high social standing. Dustin would surely not cross the line.

Dustin said nothing, but the Hell Guard understood what he wanted. He picked Devon up like he weighed nothing.

Chapter 123

It hurt so much that Devon cried out in pain.

“Dustin Fox, do you have a death wish?! Tell him to let me go!” he shouted.

“Dustin, don’t do anything stupid! If the Aquila family decides to hold you accountable for this, you won’t be able to bear the consequences!” shouted the Langley family members as well.

Dustin scoffed.

“I’ll only say this once. Simone is the only one in the entire world who’ll get to decide who she wants to marry,‘ he said icily. “I won’t forgive anyone who tries to force her to marry someone against her will!”

The lethal edge in his voice left everyone in shock.

“Who exactly do you think you are, Devon? You’re unworthy to even think of Simone, let alone marry her,” said Dustin icily. “Consider this a warning. If you dare to harass her again, you won’t leave Rivenesco alive!”

Then, Dustin flicked his hand indifferently.

The Hell Guard twisted Devon’s left arm.

Devon/screamed in pain and shock.

The pain of a broken arm was not something an average person could endure. His arm was ruined. The bone had snapped cleanly in half. It could not be rejoined.
