Aaron stated at her for a moment before agreeing. “I’ll take you.”
The two of them went back to the Boyd residence. Nicole politely said goodbye as she got out of the car and left.
Aaron’s lips curled into a smile as he watched her walk away without looking back
“How heartless of her to walk off like that.”

That made Nicole realize her oversight. She turned back and glanced at the entrance, but Aaron had probably already left by now.

Heidi couldn’t help but laugh again at Nicole’s endearing reaction. She pulled Nicole toward the couch and sat down. “How was your time with Mr. Compton today? Are you comfortable with him?–
Nicole pondered for a moment. She was a little intimidated by Aaron. Yet, he had almost always helped her out of a difficult situation every time they met.
Other than that, it seemed there were no other noticeable qualities about him. He was always polite and never overstepped with her.
After thinking it over, she nodded and said honestly, “He’s fine. We can continue to get along.”
Heidi smiled even more happily at Nicole’s response. “The Comptons are quite well–regarded. They’re also one of the most prominent families in Embrook. If you end up marrying Mr, Compton, I wouldn’t have to worry.
“But Micole, do you intend to return to Silverwood Hospital?”
