Luna shook her head awkwardly. “I didn’t know we could get reimbursed, so I never submitted anything.”
Suzie’s voice rose slightly, her brows furrowed tightly. “None of your seniors told you? I don’t believe for a second they didn’t know you were covering costs out of pocket.

Suzie stuck out her tongue “What’s there to be afraid ot? I’d say it to his face. He’s no good anyway, and the people he trained? Hardly any better.” “Suzie!” Luna looked completely embarrassed
Suzie turned back and patted her on the shoulder. “But of course, you’re the good one. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have walked away.”
“Let’s eat first. We’ll come back in the afternoon,” Rhett said, his gaze lingering briefly on Luna before tuming and leaving the room.
Then, the three of them headed to the cafeteria together.
Suzie waved her hand grandly. “Order whatever you want. It’s on me!”
“I got this!” Luna wasn’t short on money anymore, not after getting that 110 thousand dollars back from Trevor
Before the other two could reject, she had already stepped up to pick out the dishes.
They had arrived early, and the cafeteria was still mostly empty. As Luna stood at the counter, she turned back to Suzie and Rhett. “Do you guys have any dietary restrictions?”
The two of them shook their heads in unison. “Nope, we’re not picky. Just go with what you like.”
After Luna grabbed a tray and went to get food, Suzie finally pulled Rhett’s hand away. “Why did you stop me just now? Suzie doesn’t exactly look well–off. We can’t let her treat us.”
“Trust me. If she wants to treat you, let her. You can return the favor next time,” Rhett replied, looking toward Suzie in the distance.
Suzie didn’t quite understand what Rhett meant, but she knew he was always sharp and good at reading people. It he said so, he was probably right.
The university cafeteria offered an impressive array of food choices, featuring dishes from diverse regions and cuisines.
While Luna was uncertain about Suzie’s and Rhett’s taste preferences, she was open to trying anything. So, she went all in and ordered one of the most popular dishes from each station
As the servers loaded up the plates, Rhett and Suzie approached to help her carry the food.
They found a table by the window and sat down together. After a quick count, they realized they had six different dishes and a bowl of soup each. It was definitely a generous spread.
Suzie came back with three plates of pasta. “I wasn’t sure how much you usually eat. Just grab more later if it’s not enough,”
“I can eat a fair bit,” Luna replied with a smile.
She might’ve looked slim, but she actually had a solid appetite. In the past, she often skipped meals, leading to mild malnutrition that hindered her ability to gain wright.
Rhett wasn’t a light eater, either, and Suzie never held back when it came to food. So, between the three of them, six dishes weren’t a lot at all.
As they are, the three of them chatted about their competition project. The cafeteria started to fill up quickly. All the students came in after class.
Wyatt and his group walked in around the same time. Ethan and Trevor were right behind him, and the moment they stepped into the cafeteria, all three of them spotted Luna sitting by the window with Rhett and Suzie.
Just then, Rhett said something that made Luna smile. She had always looked sweet, but in her brighter outfit today, she seemed more refreshed. That quiet smile of hers carried a peaceful, almost nostalgic beauty.
