Chapter 48
Lima was deeply moved when she saw tests in her dormitory group again. The same old warm feeling came back again.
She loved her dom mates and the topics they talked about. She simply didn’t have to mute the notifications for this chat group for anyone’s sake.
A second after Luna unmuted it, Jade’s text came in. “I’ll buy it for you and Luna, too, I think she’s still buried in her plan and didn’t see your text, which means she imastve skipped dinner as well,”
She curled her lips and started typing her reply. “Spot on. I was writing the plan earlier. I was just done with it when I saw this text. I appreciate your help, Jade. I’ll be waiting for your vimin takeout!
After Luna sent the text, she followed it up with a food emoji.
“Dear God, Lona actually used an emop!” Talia sent an exaggerated reply text
Niente also hurriedly sent a test. “The chat group is finally back. This is wonderful news, and it’s worth celebrating.”
“We’re going to have a teast tonight. I’m bringing everyone supper.” Talia sent a party popper emoji.
Lona laughed merrily because of their texts. Then, she sent over an enol, Indicating that it wasn’t as exaggerated as they made it out to be.
Then, the group received several texts from Jade, and they were all pictures of food, as well as the dish she bought at the cafeteria, She even bought some barbecue and snacks
Luna’s eyes reddened once more. “Thank you, Jade. When will you get back? I’m starving just looking at the pictures.”
Out of nowhere, the dormitory chat group went silent as it everyone was suddenly preoccupied with something.
She refreshed the clust group several times, but there were still no new texts. So, she hopped into the shower.
she had just put on her pajamas and came out of the bathroom when the dormitory door swung open. It was jade. “You must be starving Get over here and feed your belly. Talia and Nicole will be back soon.”
Luna walled over and took the food and snacks from Jade, “Aren’t they having a meeting of working overtime?”
“Nicole said that her professor suddenly discovered his conscience and ended the meeting earlier. I think Talia swapped shifts with her colleague. Don’t worry about them. Ces over here and eat something first,”
Luna moved the table and served the dishes “I’ll wait for them to get back. Then, we’ll eat together.”
“Sure. I’ll take a bath first, then. There’s something I have to talk to you about.” Jade grabbed a bathrobe and went to the bathroom. She had just walked in when Talia and Nicole opened the dormitory door.
Talia grumbled the moment she stepped inside, “it’s bad enough that I couldn’t work overtime, but I even spent 12 dollars on a cab, all because of Jade’s delicious food!
That was just the base face, too. Normally, Talia rode all the way to the hospital on a bicycle. There were even times when she walked there. This explained how she got back to the dormitory so quickly this time.
Luna couldn’t help but giggle Wash your hands and get ready for supper–Jade bought a lot for all of us.”
Tam starved, and I mean what I said.” Nicole washed her hands, walked over, and dig into her chicken pot ple
Luna didn’t hesitate either since she and Nicole hadn’t had their dinners.
Meanwhile, Talia was just there to be a part of the fun. She chatted casually with both of them as she bit a chunk out her barbecued lamb.
“Did you guys hear about the incident on campus?”
Nicole and Lana weir both dumbfounded. “Not at all. Did something big happen? Are you talking about the competition?
“It’s not about that.” Tallashook her head. “Theard about it in the hospital today. It sounded like someone had passed away. Many doctors took the day off, and i tunk some of the college professors also weren’t on campus today.
Something popped into Luna’s mind. In her past life, a prominent traditional treatment doctor died around this time, too
She wondered whether it was the same person Talla was talking about. She clearly remembered that Wilson went over to mourn the traditional treatment d
With that said, she didn’t keep tabs on what was going on in the world. It wasn’t as it she studied traditional treatment either. So, she didn’t pay much attention to
“In this is a big deal, I’m sure it got on the news. Let me check online.” Nicole pulled out her phone and asked, “Look at this, guys. Is this it?
