Luna almost laughed at the absurdity of Kevin’s words!
What teammates? Kevin was bad–tempered, impulsive, and arrogant. He never listened to others even if he was wrong, and there was no changing his mind once he was dead set on an
idea.
His awful temper had created unnecessary difficulties for their research in Luna’s past life. And in the end, he’d blamed all the troubles on her, claiming that she was too stubborn to listen.
Now, she’d show him her real stubborn side!
She put on a mocking expression and scoffed. “Who said I’d return to Professor Hanley’s team?”
“You” Once again, Kevin found himself speechless.
For the first time, he realized that his temper was useless against Luna. In the past, she’d apologize, beg for forgiveness, and coax him whenever he threw a tantrum. But now, she had. changed. She snapped at him and had even taunted him!
Russell felt a headache coming up, and his brows furrowed. “Luna, you need to calm down. This is no joke. How could you give up on a major you spent four years studying?
“Remember? Don’t you remember? You said you wanted to stand at the pinnacle of our field, sharing with us the greatest honor medicine has to offer.”
“I never forgot.” Luna put on a serious face. “I still intend to reach the top of this field and earn that honor. Changing my major doesn’t mean I’m abandoning my goals.”
Kevin sneered. “Do you even hear yourself? That’s ridiculous. You’re switching majors in your senior year and leaving Professor Hanley’s team. Do you still think you can reach the top of the medical field? You’re naive.”
Luna had no more patience to spare. “Just leave, all of you. I’ll write a letter of withdrawal. And the decision to change my major has been made. Nothing will change.”
With that, she turned around to leave.
Mia did not anticipate Luna giving up this fast, and she was delighted about it. She wondered. aloud, “Luna, what’s your new major, if you don’t mind me asking?
“That’s none of your business!” Luna frowned, refusing to pay Mia any attention.
Mia was a vampire who had set her sight on Wilson and his research team.
In the past life, she had repeatedly destroyed Mia’s evil schemes and had saved her seniors countless times. But at the end of it, everyone still fell for Mia’s sweet talk and lies.

They became convinced that Luna was the villain, and not only did they verbally humiliate her, but they’d also pushed her out of the team.
Now, Luna would rather not do anything that annoyed her seniors. She would simply let Mia and her seniors get along!
“Kevin?” Mia looked upset after she was sharked at. She cast Kevin a pitiful look.
Kevin couldn’t stand seeing Mia upset. So, he rushed forward and grabbed Luna. “Hey, Mia asked you a question! Why did you ignore her?”
“You need to get your brain checked, Kevin. Let go of me.” An unfeeling look flashed across Luna’s eyes. She stared at Kevin as though he was a fool.
Kevin was taken aback. He had never experienced such disdain and disrespect from Luna before. He felt belittled and shamed.
Anger gripped him when it dawned on him that Luna was looking down on him.
He said, “Luna, you’re really something. I’d be a fool if I still cared for you.
“Mia, let’s go.” With that, he dragged Mia along and left.
Russell’s expression froze, his eyes darting between Kevin and Luna.
“Are you sure you want to quit the team?” he asked.
Luna looked up, seeming rather impatient. “Yeah! I’ll leave if there’s nothing else.”
“Luna!” Russell appeared reluctant to give up. “Don’t blame it on Wyatt and Professor Hanley. They didn’t intend to kick you out. There’s still time to change your mind now. We’ll welcome you back with open arms!”
Luna softly scoffed. “Forget about it!” She wasn’t an idiot. After she’d been fooled once, she saw no reason to rejoin the team.
When Luna returned to her dorm room, she continued reading as though nothing had happened.
Confused, Nicole asked, “I saw your books just now. They’re all on acupuncture. Is your new major in acupuncture?”
