Chapter 11

After the incident at the bridal shop, the Anderson family initially wanted to hold the Miller family accountable. My mother, out of consideration for Mrs. Miller, intervened to prevent any further action. However, she was firm in ensuring the Miller brothers were strictly barred from coming near me again

Life soon returned to normal, and the wedding preparations continued smoothly. But

espite all our precautions, we didn’t anticipate Maya’s actions. Somehow, she managed to find me and, as Philip and I were on our way home from a photoshoot, suddenly rushed

out and knelt in front of me

Annalise, I was wrong. Please, I beg you to show mercy. I shouldn’t have overstepped and tried to compete with you. I shouldn’t have ruined your relationship with the Miller brothers”

Through her tearful pleas, I pieced together the story. It seemed that after I left, the Miller brothers began to long for me and treated Maya much differently than before. Mrs. Miller then accidentally discovered that Maya, along with Lucy, had been secretly selling off Miller family assets. Furious, she took them both to court. Despite their previous favoritism toward Maya, the Miller brothers did nothing to defend her. Lucy was sent to prison, and Maya lost everything

Please, say a word on my behalf. Right now, only your words will reach them,Maya sobbed, trying to grab my leg. But before she could even touch the hem of my dress, the bodyguards dragged her away

Philip remained silent, watching her with an expression as if he were looking at a piece of trash. Holding my hand, he simply said, Let’s go home.”

Alright.Anything related to the Miller brothers no longer mattered to me

But as we took only a few steps, a wave of dizziness hit me. My vision darkened, and I collapsed into Philip’s arms
