Chapter 92
The staff was quite professional; they quickly switched to work mode after a brief flash of surprise in their eyes.
One of them took my measurements and then selected a few outfits that would suit me best.
Looking at myself in the mirror, I saw a gaunt figure with a pale face.
Even wearing the most expensive clothes, I looked thin and couldn’t fill out the garments. It all felt rather ridiculous.
The staff kept complimenting me as if their clothes had turned me into the most handsome man in the world.
I didn’t say anything but silently tried on several outfits for Abigail until she was satisfied.
The way Abigail looked at me was just like when she’d first met me.
Her expression was polite, distant, and even had a hint of detachment.
“Let’s go with these three pieces. Wrap them all up.”
Abigail pointed at the clothes I had tried on and then said to me coldly, “Take the clothes and follow me.”
I carried the bags as I followed Abigail into a styling salon.
She instructed them to shave my beard and do my hair.
Looking in the mirror, I felt a fleeting daze as I caught a glimpse of myself from the day of the wedding.
I could almost hear the wedding host asking me if I would take Abigail as my lifelong partner to walk together in love forever.
At that moment, I had nodded wholeheartedly in agreement.
I believed Abigail was someone worthy of my love for a lifetime, and I vowed to give her a life of happiness, care for her, love her, and be her support and comfort.
But then…
Everything changed when Abigail brought another man home.
I lowered my head in desolation, allowing the stylist to do whatever they wanted with me.
After everything was done, Abigail nodded in satisfaction and led me straight to the parking lot.
I followed Abigail step by step in the quiet hallway. The silence was so profound that I could

hear my own heartbeat.
Suddenly, Abigail stopped and grabbed my collar looking at me as she asked, “I never thought that among all the men around me, you would be the best looking.”
I stared at her in silence, unsure of what she meant by that.
Abigail suddenly laughed and stroked my face, asking, “Samuel, aren’t you short on money? Do you want to…?”
I shivered all over and grabbed her hand as she reached toward my chest.
I then sternly scolded, “Are you crazy? This is a shopping mall hallway; anyone could come by

Unexpectedly, Abigail seemed completely fearless. She let out a cold laugh and taunted, “So what? This makes it all the more exciting.”
I didn’t respond but looked at her coldly and retorted, “Aren’t you tired of being in the headlines lately?
“If you
think otherwise, then just go ahead.”
I forcefully shook off her hand and closed my eyes, allowing her to do as she pleased.
After a moment, I could feel Abigail’s breathing becoming heavier.
Her fingers gently glided down my chest. She leaned closer, her warm breath brushing against my face.
In that instant, it felt as if we were the last people on earth.
“Samuel, you really are stubborn. You clearly still have feelings for me. Why won’t you admit it?”
Abigail suddenly coldly pushed me away.
I staggered, looking up at her in shock. “What do you mean by that? Does Joshua not like you?” I took a deep breath and retorted, “Don’t you care about his feelings anymore?”
