Greyson visibly panicked, glancing at me, terrified that Molly might reveal he was behind everything.
“Please, Greyson, you can’t do this to me! I’ve done so many dirty things for you, and today’s situation with Aurora is also because…”
Before she could finish, Greyson cut her off sharply. “Shut up!” He pushed her away forcefully, and she sat on the floor, horrified, as he glared down at her with a menacing look.
“You spread those rumors about her, so you need to face the consequences. Aurora’s right–you’d better resign this afternoon.”
I hadn’t expected Greyson to throw her under the bus so blatantly to save himself right in front of me.
Molly, on the brink of collapse, finally saw him for who he truly was. With a bitter, mocking smile, she staggered to her feet. As she left the office, she shot Greyson one last look of pure resentment before walking away without a backward glance. By the end of the day, her desk was completely cleared.
That evening, Greyson–who she adored+was kneeling in front of me like a dog as I cleared out my personal items at home, begging me not to abandon him.
“Please, Aurora, don’t break up with me. I truly love you,” he sobbed, kneeling at my feet with utter humility.
I marveled at Greyson’s shamelessness, willing to go to any lengths to keep his “meal ticket.”
“You know exactly what you’ve done,” I said coldly, pressing my foot onto his face and slowly increasing the pressure.
Gasping from the pain, he managed to plead, “I just lost my way for a moment. I still love

you, Aurora–please give me another chance!”
I released him just before he was about to pass out, and he gasped for air, crawling back to my feet, his face flushed.
“I’ll be your dog. I’ll handle every dirty job in Procurement that you don’t want to do.”
He was still somewhat useful. After Molly’s departure, Greyson, relying on his thick skin, acted as if nothing had happened and continued his usual routine at the company.
But my goal was to get both him and Molly out.
“Fine. Then be a good dog. But if I catch even a hint of betrayal, you know what will happen.”
Greyson’s heart leaped with excitement at my approval. He thought he still held some value for me.
“Maybe, given time, she’ll actually marry me,” he mused, trembling with excitement at the prospect of inheriting my father’s company. He stood up, vowing repeatedly to prove his worth.
The next day, I arranged a meeting with a mysterious guest. The person, masked and visibly guarded, accepted a glass of red wine I poured for them.
“So, you said you’ve done a lot of dirty work for him. What exactly do you mean?”
“And why would I tell you?” She sneered, knocking over the glass of wine.
Unfazed, I casually replied, “He’s treated you so coldly–don’t you want a little revenge?”
She wavered, eyeing me with suspicion, uncertain of my intentions. She stood to leave but threw one last line over her shoulder:
“Three days, and I’ll give you an answer.”
I knew she wouldn’t be able to let go so easily, and in three days, I’d get what I wanted.
Greyson worked hard to prove his worth as a “good dog,” trying to ingratiate himself with everyone and even asking around for people’s opinions of me. If anyone spoke poorly of me, he’d sneakily report it back to me, proudly showcasing his efforts.
Watching his childish behavior was laughable.
“We’re all here to make money. Whether they like or dislike me doesn’t matter for the job,” I told him.
“Do you want me to make it so he quits voluntarily?” he asked, kneeling for approval. It was clear he’d used some nasty methods in the past to force out colleagues he didn’t like.
“No need. Just make sure he does his work properly. Now go.” I dismissed him.
Whoever said “a woman’s heart is the most ruthless” hadn’t seen how low some men could

Opening my computer, I found an email waiting for me. It was from the mysterious guest from three days prior–Molly. It seemed she had finally decided to seek revenge on Greyson after days of contemplation, sending me a wealth of incriminating material.
The content shocked me. Page after page of chat logs revealed that Greyson had manipulated Molly into covering for him, accepting kickbacks, and even secretly taking bribes from partners. But the most appalling revelation was that Greyson had pressured Molly to sleep with certain business contacts to secure deals for him.
Despite all she’d done for him, he had discarded her without a second thought, like a pawn in his game.
