Merhold seemed oddly excited about the whole thing. He was an architect if I remembered correctly. Why would he be so excited about…
I looked at my brothers with suspicion. Was that Merhold probably into some property business. Like maybe being a property tycoon? Now I understood the little bits of silent
communication between him and Olavir back when we first met.
“That doesn’t sound so bad.” Halven shrugged.
I was sure he would have really liked me to follow him to that war zone. That would have to be some other time. Not now. I had something else in mind.
“I’m sure you’re just loving this, huh Merhold?” Greyven said without emotion.
“Damn right I am.” Merhold grinned, turning to me. “I have some recommendations. It’ll make getting into the industry easier for you.”
As nice as the idea sounded, I didn’t want anything that would make me have to use my
family resources. I didn’t want to cheat my way into work. I wanted to get everything by my own struggled and hard work.
“That’s great, Merhold, but I don’t want to have to use our family resources to get into this.
It would be like cheating, and I just don’t know if I want to do that.”
Merhold remained silent, taking in all I’d just said. I turned to look at my other brothers.
They all had complicated expressions on their faces.
I figured they wouldn’t be all that glad with the thought of me going to work since it could
mean I wouldn’t have much time to spend with them anymore. They were probably
thinking I won’t be able to spend time with them due to me being in the workplace.
“Come on, guys.” I said to them. “I won’t just forget about you if that’s what you’re worried
about.”
Their faces seemed to perk up just a little. Olavir still had a small frown on his face. It was funny how child–like he seemed to be acting.

Are you suture
Of course I am.” I smiled. I promise I’ll always be available for family time.”
You promise?” Halven asked, his usual confident smirk now resting in a small smile.
I nodded. “I promise.”
I got to work on trying to look for a good real estate industry to join. Merhold’s suggestion had been really nice but I didn’t want to rely on any recommendations or any form of special treatment. I’d already told myself that I would do it on my own and that was what I planned on doing.
I started by posting my CV online. I had to make a few changes to it but at the end, it looked pretty good and I was super proud of my work. I affiliated it with my achievements from my university days as well as the upcoming Royal Academy.
It didn’t take long before I started receiving different invitations. In all honesty, it came as a surprise to see all those companies extending their invitations, all of them wanting an
interview with me.
I had no idea that my CV and past work experience was so popular.
I clicked on the first invitation.
It was an invitation from Galaxy Pack’s property in the capital. It was a small but very prestigious business.
To think they were offering me an invite now. It was almost laughable. The more I thought
about it, the harder it was to make sense of what exactly they were getting at.
I was once Galaxy Pack’s Luna. Even at that, Froste’s mother had always kept the industry
from me, refusing to even let me be a part of it.
She believed I would eventually end up usurping all of it and getting control over her son.
Now, it seems I was constantly being sent olive branches by them.
What an irony.
“Unbelievable.” I said to myself.

I didn’t know how long I’d been staring at the invite for. Eventually, I snapped out of it and shook my head, I was to throw this invitation into the mailbox bins.
Just then, my phone started to ring. It was an unknown number. A thought hit me. I looked at the number and then at the Galaxy Pack’s Company Contact.
It was a match.
I stared at the string of phone numbers like I was watching a clown show, did they really not know who I used to be? I answered the call and put the phone to my ear. The first thing I was hit with was the operator who sounded very flattering and ingratiating.
“Good day, Mrs Adella.” The woman greeted.
“It’s Miss Adella.” I corrected.
“Yes, of course.” She continued in that awfully cheery tone. “I’m contacting you on the invite sending by the company. We’d like you to know the interesting benefits that lie in working
for our company.”
“Oh really?” I said into the phone, rolling my eyes the more I thought of her words. I developed all the company perks at GalaxyPACK, and I know more about those fun perks
than she does.
“Yes,” I could imagine her smiling. “Our company offers a lot of benefits. For someone of your qualifications, the benefits are even higher. We offer-”
“I’ve already read all your benefits from the invite you sent.” I cut her off.
“Oh, well we’d love to hear your opinion on it and would be glad to have you working with
our team.” She continued.
“I’m not interested in those allowances. Even think it sucks.” I blew out a breath. “I reject your offer. I don’t want to be associated with anyone or anything from this pack.”
The woman continued to try. “If you’d just reconsider your decision-”
“I think I’ve made myself clear! Your company doesn’t deserve to work with me!”
